A Poem
From Mrs. Eby...
—TWnkiKlving Day—
Thanksgiving Lnty. will soon be
here and thankful we should be,
Not only then, but all the year,
as we God’s bounty see. This
whole b:g world He gave to
man and all that’s in it, too. If
we would carry out His plan,
H.s will on earth to do.
And see that each one has his
share of toil and pn*iucis, too.
And cease his fighting here and
there, as brothers ought to do.
He g.ves the sunshine and the
rain which makes the food to
grow. Just how or why we can’t
explain, why God should love
us so.
When we so seldom think of Him
and praise Him not at all.
When plenty makes Oar vision
aim, His judgement then must
fall. Let's praise Him for His
wonderous grace. His love and
mercy, too, and give to Christ
His rightful place to dwell in
me and you.
Because He knocked at our
heart’s door when we were lost
and sad and poor. Sin sick and
ured, weary and sore and
brought us peace from heaven’s
store. For this and Oh! so very
much more. Father, we thank
Thee.
