Bonnie Jo Riege, William Hynes Wed In Catholic Rite A double ring ceremony was performed Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 30 a m. in St. Patrick’s Cath olic church uniting in marriage Miss Bonnie Jo Riege, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Riege, and William T. Hynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt L. Hynes, all of O’Neill. Officiating the nuptial mass was the Rev. Robert Duffy. A street length dress of sap phire satin was worn by the bride with matching veil and shoes. Her colonial bouquet of pompons was centered with a large white mlum Miss Lonna Haynes was maid cf honor and she was attired in a sheath dress of winter white with white and sapphire accessories. A wedding breakfast was serv ed at noon to the wedding party, and at 2 p.m. in the Tropical Gardens a reception was held and attended by 68 guests. The bride’s table was centered by a four tier wedding cake in the bride’s colors, and a silver candelabra was placed at each end of the table. Mrs. William Riege, Nor folk, cut and served the cake. Mrs. Darrell Horrocks, Colum bus, poured coffee. Serving the bride’s table were Miss Cathy Hynes, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Vicky Horrocks, Colum bus. Tuesday evening basketball players from this area attended a basketball clinic at OHS which was presented by the Wayne bas ketball team. This is the first time a clinic of this type has been held here. Services Held Saturday for Lloyd Vequist Funeral rites were conducted Saturday afternoon in O’Neill for Lloyd Ray Vequist, 48, who was killed instantly early Tuesday, Nov. 7, when the car he was driving collided head-on with a semi-truck at the crest of the U. S. 52 bypass overpass at the Monon railroad tracks near Lafa yette, Ind. State police said Vequist suf fered a broken neck. He was returning to his home in Lafayette after attending a pilots meeting in Indianapolis. The accident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. The driver of the truck was not injured. The Rev. Emil Kuehn, Atkin son, officiated at the funeral ser vices Saturday in Biglin’s chapel. Interment was in Prospect Hill cemetery. Services were held in a Lafayette Funeral chapel Wed nesday before the body was re turned to O’Neill. Lloyd Ray Vequist was bom August 16, 1913 to Henry and Bertha Vequist at O'Neill. During World War n he served as a pilot in the U. S. Air Corps. In 1945 he was married to Mary J. Vanderbeek, Stuart. Mr. Ve quist served as a Purdue Aero nautics corporation pilot at Pur due university. He was a mem ber of the Veterans of World War n USAF; Omaha Elks Lodge 1817; Omaha American Legion; Moose Chapter 1529 and VFW 1154, both of Lafayette. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Deanna Carol, 15, and Cheryl, 9; his parents; two brothers, Lyle, O’Neill, and Don ald, Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Orville Morrow, O’Neill. White has been a patient in the Atkinson hospital the past week. He fell while getting of bed Thursday night, causing a minor injury to his back. He returned Sunday to his home. She received tetanus shots and is recuperating at home.
