Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corey Are Now Residing in Puerto Rico Mrs. Jack Corey has been visit ing with her mother, Mrs. Tillie Rihanrk, and other relatives. Mrs Corey left Wednesday to go to Puerto R»co by plane from Mi ami, Fla. Mr. Corey is a missile technician and is stationed in Puerto Rico. Lynch News By Mm. They also distributed posters for the junior class play. Ralph Moody. Niobrara, called on Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Moody sr. and at the Fred Spencer home Monday afternoon. Frank Fuhrer, Casper, Wyo., was a supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. A Moody sr. Sunday evening, Nov. 5. Mrs. George Courtney jr. and family were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Moody Monday evening. The Catholic Young girls serv ed coffee and rolls after both masses Sunday, Nov. 5. A good sized crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Moody sr. and Mary Jo Stenger attended a smorgasbord held in Niobrara Saturday, sponsored by the Band Boosters. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Moody and girls were supper guests Sun day of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Moody. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Classen, Norfolk, came Saturday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leman Hu ber. Mrs. Classen is a sister of Mr. Huber. Mr. and Mrs. Leman Huber and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Classen were dinner guests Sun day at the Pat Osburhe home. Mrs. Osborne and Mrs. Classen were schoolmates at one time. Mrs. Jake Erlenbush spent Fri day afternoon with Mrs. Leman Huber. Mrs. Edith Thayer called on Mrs. Mary Fuseh Thursday eve mng and attended the junior class ' lay with her. Mrs. Don Stewart spent Thurs day morning at tiie Leman Hu bers. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Elasser came Saturday from Sioux Falls, S.D. and will remain here in their home during the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. Leman Huber were in Neligh on business Wed nesday. Friday Mrs. Bill Spencer, ac companied by Mrs. Glen Hull and Mrs. Leo Kaikowski and children, went to O’Neill to get Mrs. Roy Lowry to stay with the Spencer children Saturday while their mother was in Lincoln. Mrs. Pete Mulhair also helped Sat urday. The YWGO Extension club met Monday at 7 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rihanek. A Thanksgiving dinner was served by the club to the members and their husbands. Gaines were played and lunch was served at the close of the meeting. A short business meeting was held. The Exello club met at the home of Mrs. Ella Mulhair Mon day at # p.m. Mrs. Hubert Dittman accom panied by Mrs. Les Stewart drove to Lincoln Friday afternoon to visit her sister and attend the band marching contest. Mrs. E. Rutledge and Mike also accom panied her to Oakland where she visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Barnes. They returned home Sunday afternoon. i-amur .vi. iik Ki nson, who was recently appointed to the Lynch district of tlie Seventh Day Ad ventist church, conducted servi ces in the Lynch church last Sabbath. He will reside at Ains worth. There will be services each evening this week and Pastor Dickenson will be pre sent Friday evening. Missionary Society, Circle 2 of the Wesleyan Methodist church was entertained in the home of Mrs. Harlan Holz November 7. Ail brought a covered dish. Their husbands were guests. The annual Missionary Birthday dinner was observed at noon. Following this the regular meeting was opened with a scripture reading, prayer and remarks by Mrs. Harlan Holz. The lesson was then pre sented which included a skit. It was decided to complete a box for the workers’ children at Brain erd School for Christmas. The women enjoyed coffee and cake baked by Mrs. Elmo Barnes. Missionary Society, Circle 1, of the Wesleyan Methodist church was entertained November 7 at the home of Miss Rose Brunson, with eight members present. Mrs. Maude Schrunk was leader and presented the lesson followed by a missionary skit with Rose Brunson, Mrs. Dyer, Phyllis Mc Meen and Maude Schrunk taking parts. Plans were made for the Missionary Birthday dinner, an annual observance. The meeting closed with a lunch served by the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Crawford, Janice and Steve attended the wedding of Miss Hendrine Heiss man, Omaha, and Ronnie Cole —— - man, Omaha, at Springfield, SJX Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Miss Jan ice Crawford served at a recep tion held after the ceremony. Mrs. Art Retzlaff and Gloria visited Mrs. Retziaff's sister, Mrs. Howard Fuhrmen, Hoskins, Satur day night on her way home fn«n Lincoln. She visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Herman Carstens, Pierce. Art Retzlaff and Rodney went there Saturday and they all returned home Sunday. Mrs. Herman Carstens served Thanksgiving dinner to the follow ing Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. How ard Fuhrmen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Laubsh and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Cars tens and family, Mr. and Mrs. Art Retzlaff and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Wochman, Profes sor Richard Boeder, Tucson, Ariz, and Adolph and Rose Car stens. Mr. and Mrs. Art Retlaff and Rodney and Mrs. Eric Retzlaff, Chambers, were in Sioux City, la., Thursday. The Rev. Charles Rambcr will be moving in a month to Canada where he will be In charge of a parish. Mrs. George King, Stuart, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Seger, New p <rt, were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred King and family. The Young People of Christ Lutheran church and the Eman uel Lutheran church, Spencer, held a Halloween party November 5. Gloria Retzlaff and Francis Becker were in charge of decor ations and games. Each member contributed to the lunch. About 40 young people were present. Fairfax, S. D., and Butte young people were guests. Carpenter Bazaar Is a Big Success The bazaar and dinner sponsor ed by the Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church Tuesday of last week was considered a sucess. The affair netted the group over $413. Mrs. Sarah Adams departed Wednesday for California to spend the winter with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sal strand and son. Evangelistic services were held Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings at the Chambers Meth odist chi arch. The Rev. Sprague, Ewing, delivered the sermon Sun day evening. Carroll French, Page, who has returned to the states for a year’s leave from missionary service in the Congo, Africa, spoke and showed pic tures of his work at the church Wednesday evening. Mrs. LaVern Hoerle reports that her brother. Ronnie Young, Boise, Ida., enlisted last Mon day in the U. S. Navy. The Youngs are formerly of Cham bers. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Crawford drove to Omaha Sunday. SR-lo Crawford stayed with Darrel Lee Gillette, Ardith with Nancy Hoer le and Carla Rae at the Tracy home. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Carpenter drove to Neligh Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter has returned home from Antelope Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. Kenneth Lidgett, who enlisted in the armed service a few weeks ago, returned home recently, having received a medical dis charge. Mrs. Marie Lybolt is spending the winter with her daughter. Mrs. Ansley Barrett, at Bruns wick. Mr. Barrett is seriously ill at the present. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hilligas and daughter, Albion, came Friday to visit his father, Ervin Hilligas, at the Atkinson hospital and with his mother and brother, Lloyd and family, and with his brother-in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Al vin Neilson. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Taggert and son, Thomas, Dannebrog, and Mrs. Taggert's brother, Elmer Warner, Kansas, visited Friday in the Duane Carson and A. A. Walter homes. Recent guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil David and ' family, Ord. were Mr. and Mrs. Earl David, Wrill David and sons. Timmy and Billy, Chambers, and Mr. and Mrs. Frances Senn, Mar lene and Steve, Bartlett. The freshman class of the Chambers high school enter* tained the sophomore class at a roller skating party at Neligh ' Friday evening. The senior ' class accompanied them. Mr. and Mr$. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wright and family were supper guests Friday evening in the Tom Papke home The Rev. Ralph Sawyer, North Loup, was calling on friends in the community south of town Fri day. He was a supper guest in the Ray Sanderson home. The Rev. Sawyer was formerly a missionary minister in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wood plan to leave next Monday for Boise*, Ida., to spend Thanksgiving with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Smock and family. They will drive to Fremont and visit with their son in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Howe and family, be fore leaving by train for Boise. They expect to be gone a week.
