Daughter and
Family Are
Now in Guam
Mrs. Christensen received word
recently that her son-in-law and
daughter, Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Ro
bert Watson and family have ar
rived safely by plane in Guam.
They report the living conditions
are very satisfactory. It is warm
there and this is the rainy season
now.
Brad Spencer has had infection
in his ear and had to have med
ical care Thursday morning.
Kern Lueken accidently shot
himself in the leg Friday after
noon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowie Christensen
and Jerry left October 27 to visit
Mrs. Christensen’s daughter, Mrs.
Alfred Benker and family at
Deshler. They came home Mon
day.
Frank Fuhrer, Casper. Wyo., ,
is venting for a few days with
Mr and Mrs. Herman Fuhrer,
Butte, and other relatives.
A construction crew is putting
up grain bins at the Joe Mican
ek home this week.
Sidney Woolf served as driver
of Mrs. It. E. Kriz’s car to Om
aha Thursday for Mrs. Kriz. Mrs.
Kenneth McMeen and Mrs. Mar
jorie Dix, Butte.
Eleanor Barnes is home from
Miltonvale college in Kansas to
spend several days with her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Barnes.
The Jolly 17 Livestock club met
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed
ward Streit November 1 at 8 p.m.
This was the organization meet
ing. Preparations were made for
Lynch achievement day activi
ties which were held November 8
at 8 pun. at the Lynch Legion hall.
All Jolly 17 group members par
ticipated in the program.

rived Wednesday night from Cas
per, Wyo., where they have been
visiting their daughter, Mrs. Frank
Fuhrer and family.
Mrs. Leonard Havranek, Mrs.
Bill Spencer and Mrs. Pete Mul
hair went to Norfolk Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Johnson
and family moved to Lynch last
week from Spencer.
Keith Kounovsky, Bud Cole

geese on the Missoiari river early
Friday morning. They spent
Thursday night in their trailer
there due to the storm.

were in Neligh Friday on busi
ness.

Ivan Potter returned this week
from the Clarence Potter home
at Burke after spending 10 days
there.
Elder and Mrs. Hiethman,
Evangelists for the Seventh Day
Adventist church, were here
Thursday to cond.ict the funeral
for Seth Simmons. They have
been conducting evangelistic ser
vices at Broken Bow. Mrs. Hieth
man sang a solo for the funeral.
Mrs. Edith Thayer is spending
the weekend with Mrs. Gladys
Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Leman
Huber left Friday afternoon for
Hooper, where tiiey will visit Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Coulter.
Friday Mr. and Mrs. Glen Da
vy brought cake and ice cream
to the home of Mrs. Gladys
Spencer in honor of her birth
day. Mrs. MikkeKen and Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Halva also called
there.
Friday night Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Wurtz and children called
on Mi’s. Art Wilson. Mrs. Wilson

days at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Tienken and Robin,
Naper. Mrs. Omar Tonner and
Mrs. M. E. Neilson called there
Saturday to bring Linda home.
