    MEKK — This new school building of District I is located one
half mile east of Frank .Nelson's home and Is for a combination of
Districts I, 170 and 10. The building is '20 by IK foot and faces south
with a stairway on tiie west end connecting the basement and first
fl«x>r. A double door is located at the southeast entrance with two
stairways hauling to the main floor and to the basement. The main
floor and basement are Ixdh tiled. Mrs. Vilas Itraun, l.ynch, is the
trarhi'r. There are 25 pupils enrolled at the present time.

Tlursday evening for a stated
meeting of Chapter 300, order of
the Eastern Star. Mrs. Henry
Drayton, worthy matron, and
Gordon Johnson, worthy patron,
presided. It was voted that each
member contribue a donation to
the homes for Christmas. Mrs.
Cecil Lee, and Mrs. E. E. Bruce
are chan-men for thus priject.
Phans were made to attend and
assist the O. E. S. chapter at At
kinson with entertaing the grand
officers October 10.
Officers of Sunset Chapter hon
ored the past worthy matrons and
patrons after the close of chap
ter. Mrs. Henry Drayton gave the
welcome and response was by
Mrs. Gordon Fletcher sr. Mrs.
Harold Mitchell had charge of
the program with the following

club met Wednesday afternoon at

bers present. Mrs. Marion Ship

business minting. The project for
the afternoon was tying two uilts

Mrs Blanche Fletcher fell

cles in her right leg. She us ga

aid of a walker and it is hoped
she will be walking again soon

verbal. Ore, left Monday for
their home after visiting several
days with relatives and friends.
Mrs. Harlan Miller visited with
relatives in Kellogg, Ida., last
week.
Mrs. Frank Bonde returned to
her home by plane to Los Angeles
after weeks visiting her sister,
Mrs. Roy Sivesind, and other re
latives.

Mrs. Anna Sexton, Mr. and Mrs.

met at the Legion hall Monday
evening with 14 members present

meeting. Mrs. Leonard Hall, Mrs
Waldo Rodgers and Mrs. Gerald
Maple are delegates and Mrs.
Richard Knapp and Mrs. Lee
Bjomsen are alternates for the
District 2 convention at Pierce
October 1. Mrs. Auman appointed

book, Mrs. Glen Miller; sergeant
at arms, Mrs. Leonard Hall; Pop

the tarlaton dolls. The unit will
have a bake sale September 30.

leased from the Antelope Mem
