Gayle Siebert Weds Vernon Rothchild In Lutheran Rite ATKINSON — Bouquets of pink and white gladioli were used in church decorations for the wed ding of Miss Gayla Jeanne Sie bert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Siebert, and Vernon Dean Rothchild, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rothchild, Saturday, A'ug. 19, in St. John’s Lutheran church, Atkinson. Officiating at the t>:30 p.m. cer emony was the Rev. Emil Kuehn. Organ wedding music was pro vided by Miss Shirley Olson. Vo calists were Charles Braun and Miss Mary Ann Siebert. The bride appeared in a full length nylon organza dress fas hioned with fitted bodice, shirred elbow length sleeves and a Sa brina neckline accented by Chan tilly lace, iridescents and seed pearls. A large bow at the back ended in a chapel train. Lace medallions and inverted V’s ac cented by seed pearls and irrides cents adorned the front and sides of the flowing skirt. Her veil of silk illusion was held in place by a crown of seed pearls. She car ried a bouquet of sweetheart ro ses entwined with ivy. Miss Mary Siebert, Hastings, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Matron of honor was ano ther sister, Mrs. Lome Hickok, Casper, Wyo. Mrs. Norman Gutz mer, Woonsocket, S. D., twin sis ter of the bridegroom and Miss Carole Enbody were brides maids. Their dresses were pink and white check with bows at the .shoulders and sleeves. The full skirts were accented with bows at the waists. They wore match ing head crowns with pink tulle veils, and carried colonial bou quets of white mums. A brother of the bridegroom, Gerald Rothchild, served as best man. Groomsmen were Vernon Siebert, brother of the bride, Jer ry Dexter, O’Neill, and Vernon Albrecht. Lome Hickok, Casper, Wyo., and Rudy D. Dvorak were ushers. Gwen Hickok, Casper, Wyo., was ring bearer. Candlelighters were the Misses Pamela Sieberf, Brenda Rothchild and Janet See ry. Two-hundred and fifty guests attended the reception following the ceremony. Mrs. Roy Seery, Gering, cut the bride’s cake, and Mrs. Lurlin Collins, served the bridegroom’s cake. Mrs. Dick Tomlinson, O’Neill, and Mrs. Dar rel Couch, Woonsocket, S. D., poured the coffee. The women are sisters of the bridegroom. Mrs. Vernon Siebert was in charge of the guest book. Servers were the Misses Roth child, Lita Fae Couch, Mary Jo Gant, Carolyn Goldfuss and Judy Farewell. Presiding at the gift table were Mrs. Bob Gaylor, Mrs. Leo Wabs, Mrs. Gloria Landrum. Miss Jody Siebert and Miss Gay Ann Hickok. Reception hostesses were Mrs. Doris Sloan and Mrs. Earl Collins. The bride is a graduate of At kinson high school, and has been employed at the Atkinson clinic for the past three years. Mr. Rothchild is serving in the US army and is stationed at Fort Bliss, Tex. The couple will reside in El Paso, Tex. Out-of-town guests were from Lincoln, Hastings, North Platte, Chambers, O’Neill and Gering, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyom ing and New York. Kim, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shrader and family, Ew ing, and Mrs. Ruth Waples, Lin coln. The McCamon family moved to Omaha Tuesday to make their future home. Mrs. McCamon has been engaged to teach in an Omaha school. The Albert Larson family had a gathering Sunday at a Norfolk park. Guests of honor were all members who had birthdays in August which included Albert Larson, 82-years-old August 22. A picnic dinner was enjoyed and the afternoon hours were spent informally. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Larson, Larry and Linda, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rei mer, Ewing; Mr. and Mrs. El mer Paid and daughter, Oak land; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Starr and family, West Point; Lyle Larson, Lincoln; Miss Snider, Clearwater, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Born and son. They plan to visit friends and relatives at Sioux City, la., Pender and Schulyer. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rotherham were Sunday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rotherham and family. The oc casion was in honor of Mrs. Roy Rotherham’s birthday anniver sary. Guests at the Leo Vander snick home Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cunningham and family, Page. Florence Ross, who has been a guest of her brother, Dr. Wm. H. Mrs. Nina Haines and Mrs. Edna Lofguest went to Tabor, la., Wednesday to attend a camp meeting of the Church of Nazar ene. On their way home they stopped at Norfolk to attend a zone rally of the Church of the Nazarene. O'Neill Locals Bowling News The O’Neill Grain Company "Kernals” formerly known as Meicina’s Powder Puff’s held a bowling meeting Monday after noon at the M and M bakery. Blouses were decided on and were ordered. The team, sponsor ed by Don McKamy, will consist of the same members, Sylvia Mc Elvain, Jerry Strong, Delores Hamik, Harriet McKamy, and Ethel Mae Adamson. Delegates Return Patricia McKenzie and Mary Jane Muff returned home Sunday evening after attending the Sum mer School Of Catholic Action held this week in Chicago, 111. The girls were chosen as dele gates by St. Mary’s sodality this spring. Approximately 2,600 boys and girls attended the SSCA along with 200 priests and nuns from almost all of the 50 states. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McKenzie took the girls to Omaha where they boarded a train after a tour of Boy’s Town. The seven days con sisted of five classes and Holy Mass each day. Entertainment was provided in the evening. Also included was a sightseeing trip of Chicago. The trip was spon sored by St. Mary’s sodality and the Friends of St. Mary’s. Attends Convention Bob Hynes, student at the Will iam Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minn., is attending a three day convention at Atlanta, Ga. He was elected as a delegate to represent Delta Theta Phi Law fraternity. Hold Steak Fry The Adult Fellowship held a steak fry at the Methodist church Tuesday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rolle and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Dawes. The steaks were cooked and served on the parsonage patio. To Live Here Conrad Bruckner, 78-year-old ■Columbus man arrived a week ago to make his home with the Joe Langans. Mr. Langan drove to Columbus to get Mr. Bruckner, who in the past worked for him. Mr. Bruckner recently fell, injur ing his leg, and is unable to get around. Breaks Arm Jim Grady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grady, fell last week from a tree and broke his arm. He spent one day in the hospital. Attend Funeral Mrs. Fred Appleby, Mrs. Frank Sullivan, Mrs. Dave Moler, Mrs. ■Richard Minton and Mrs. Harry Sullivan attended the funeral of Mrs. Howard Madison, Sioux City, la., Friday. Mrs. Madison was the former Mary Lou Ernst, O’ Neill. She died of complications following a heart surgery, per formed in Salt Lake City, U. Dr. and Mrs. George Carstens moved in to their newly built home August 18. It is located on 5th and Williams atreets. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sullivan bought the Harry Sullivan homo, located at 619 E. Everett. They moved in August 19. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Liedke moved August 12 into the John Kersenbrock basement home, lo cated at 620 E. Adams. Carolyn Wilson left Thursday for Creston, la., to visit her grandmother, Mrs. J. P. Daugh ton, and other relatives. She al so visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Hoff mann, Storm Lake, la. They spent the weekend at Lake Oko boji. Miss Wilson returned home Tuesday. Evelyn Cavanaugh returned Sunday from Omaha where she has spent the last four days vis iting her brother, Buss Cavenaugh and family. Visitors at the Leo Moore home for a few days were Sister Maria Del Ray and Sister Agnesine of St. Mary’s school, Omaha. 9ister Maria Del Ray is the former Ka theryn Mangan, daughter of the late Henry Mangan. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Becker went to Omaha Tuesday with their son, Jim, who left that city for San Diego, Calif, where he will be stationed in the navy. The Beck ers returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Lavigne, Omaha, spent the weekend visit ing Mrs. Lavigne’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Gatz. Mr. and Mrs. Gatz visited last week with Mr and Mrs. C. J. Gatz jr., North Platte. C. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Earle, Palm Theresa Pribil Weds Herman Ackman In Catholic Rite Miss Theresa Pribil, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Pribil. O'Neill, and Herman Ackman, son of William Ackman, Oak dale, were united in marriage Monday. Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church, O’ Neill. Officiating at the double ring ceremony and nuptial mass was Msgr. T. O’Sullivan. Providing traditional wedding music were the vocalist, Douglas Spittler, accompanied by Miss Helen Go kie, organist. The bride appeared in a bal lerina length gown of French Chantilly lace over bridal satin, featuring a scalloped neckline, short sleeves ending in bridal points and a full skirt embroi dered with lace flowers. The bride made her dress. Her elbow length French illusion veil was caught by a crown of pearls and crystals trimmed in matching lace from the dress. She carried a white orchid showered with white feathered carnations. Miss Veronica Pribil, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss La Vonna Sladek, Atkinson. They were at tired in white lace over blue taf feta dresses. The gow ns were de signed with fitted waists and rounded necklines. They wore matching hats and carried colonial bouquets of blue carna tions. Desert, Calif., visited Mrs. E. B. Kirwan at the Melvin Kirwan home. Mr. and Mrs. Bob O’Con nell and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cole. Presiding at the coffee service were Mrs. Charles Denesia, Wayne, and Mrs. Steve Sladek, Atkinson. Mrs. Andy Ramold and Mrs- Wendell Babl assisted with the refreshments, and serving wore the Misses Jean Denesia, Wayne, Patsy Pribil, Norma Schmidt, Gregoi-y, S. D., Betty Jo Turner and Susan Burney. Mrs. Dick Ackman, Greeley, was in charge of the guest book, and the *ift table was arranged by Mrs. Vernon Suetak, Norfolk, and Mrs. Dave Thomas, New man Grove. The- couple entertained at a' wv elding dance in the evening. The bride attended St. Mary’s academy, and has been em ployed by Patton’s Ben Franklin store. Mr. Ackman attended Elgin high school, and is engaged inr farming near Oakdale where the couple will reside following a wedding trip to Canada.
