Judging will be done on the basis of abil ity to fit and show the animal. First 4 places in each class will be awarded Ak-Sar-Ben awards. All members showing will be judged for showmanship while they are showing their livestock. Finals will be run last to deter mine the winners in each divi sion. Herdsmanship Ribbons will be awarded on the basis of club herdsmanship in beef, swine, dairy, and sheep di visions on blue, red and white merits. 4 Purple ribbons to be given in rank for purpose of Ak Sar-Ben awards. The Fair Board will select the judges for the herdsmanship award and showmanship contest. Tractor Driving Contests For 4-H members. Judged on proper handling of tractor, safe ty precautions and maintenance. Entries are limited to tractor club members. Contest will be held on Wednesday afternoon. Livestock Judging All livestock will be judged and placed according to the Danish system, which is blue ribbon, red ribbon and white ribbon, groups. In addition, a purple group will be selected from the blue awards in each class if the judge feels the show warrants. Only the calves originally earmarked may be shown. Any class of market cattle may be divided by weight if show war rants. Entries should be made to Hen ry Wood, Ewing, Nebraska five days prior to entry day. SPECIAL AWARD Chambers Commercial Club The Chambers Commercial Club is again this year giving cups in the 4-H classes. These cups to go to the animals judged best in their class picked from the purple ribbon winners in each class regardless of breed. Holt Co. Hereford Breeders Assn. The Holt County Hereford Breeders’ Association has arrang ed to give a plaque to the cham pion Hereford stocker-feeder and one to the champion Hereford breeding heifer. (Purebred and Grade Classes) It will also pro vide a cup for the grand cham pion of any of these classes if said grand champion is a Here ford animal.
