Ellen Havranek, Mark Feringer Wed at Emmet ATKINSON — Before an altar decorated with white and laven der garden flowers and ferns, a nuptial rite was performed Thursday, June 29, at 10 a.m. in the ChLirch of Epiphany, Emmet, uniting in marriage Miss Ellen M. Havranek, Atkinson, and Mark E. Fehringer, Bloomfield. The Rev. Ralph O’Donnell officiated at the service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A1 Havranek. Mr. and Mrs. William Fehringer, Bloomfield, are the parents of the bridegroom. Mrs Bob Morgan, sister of the bridegroom, was soloist, and was accompanied by Miss Bonnie Clif ford, organist. A floor length gown of nylon sheer over tulle and satin was chosen by the bride. It was fash ioned with a fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. Jeweled ap plique of imported alencon lace was featured on the bodice front and scoop neckline, and scattered over the full gathered skirt. A large butterfly bow adorned the back. Her double veil of French illusion was caught to a minia ture queen’s crown, bejeweled with imported borealis crystal and seed pearls. She carried 9 white orchid on a prayer book, and a crystal rosary. Miss Jeanette Fehringer, Bloom field, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Nelson, O’Neill, and Miss Patricia Dvorak. They were gowned alike in street length dresses of lavender nylon sheer over taffeta with scooped necklines and cap sleeves. The bodices had cummerbunds with bows in front. Their headpieces were crowns of lavender sequins with small matching veils. White Belva Michael Weds L. Patras At Clearwater CLEARWATER — Miss Belva Michael, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Michael, and Lon nie Patras, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Patras were married Sun day, July 2. at 7 p.m. in the Con cordia Lutheran church in Clear water. The Rev. D. L. Braunersreuther O’NEIM. PHOTO CO. accessories completed their en sembles. Each attendant carried a purple double wedding ring ar rangement of lavender pompons. Stanley Fehringer, Bloomfield, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kenneth Fuhrer, Lincoln, and Gordon Fehringer, Bloomfield, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Francis Havranek, O’Neill, and Norbert Fehringer, Houston, Tex., brother of the bridegroom. Erin Havranek, O’Neill, was flower girl. Ring bearer was Billy Fehringer, Bloomfield. Over 200 guests attended the luncheon at St. Michael’s hall. Emmet. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Frank Farnik and Mrs. Joe L. Sladek. Mrs. Robert H. Clifford presided at the coffee service, and Miss Pat Allen, served punch. Mrs. Terry Wanser had charge of the guest book. The gifts were ar ranged by Miss Lorelei Sanders. Mrs. Bernard Newton and Mrs. Matt Kauth. Waitresses were the Misses Dotty Havranek, Shirley Fuhrer, Joy Dvorak, Mary and Madeline Richards, Helen Marie and Emily Dusatko, Ruth Schaaf and Lu Ann Babl. Assisting with refreshments were Mesdames Ken Huston, A1 Kloppenborg. John Babl, Joe Babl, Jim Con way, Ray Richards, William Mul len, Tom Welch, Jess Wills, Ber nard Pongratz, and Dusatko. The bride attended St. Mary’s academy in O’Neill. She has been employed by the O’Neill National Bank, and has also served as organist at the Church of Epi phany over four years. Mr. Fehringer attended Bloom field high school, and has served two years in the armed forces. He is presently engaged in farming at Bloomfield where the couple will reside after a wedding trip to Illinois, Michigan and Minne sota. officiated at the marriage cere mony. Mrs. Dwight Kirchner was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Lowell Herley. A waltz length gown of nylon tulle and French lace was cho ' sen by the bride. It was fashion ed with a fitted bodice and long sleeves tapering to points at the wrists. Natural scallops of lace, embroidered with pearls and se quins highlighted the sabrina neckline. The bouffant skirt of tulle ruffles was accented with an apron effect panel of border lace. Her fingertip length veil of silk illusion was held in place by a small jeweled crown. Her bouquet was an arrangement of red roses. Miss Sharon Michael, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and another sister of the bride, Mrs. Rodney Charf, Neligh, was bridesmaid. They wore gowns of blue sheer nylon over taffeta with cummerbund of embroidered sequins. They wore matching hats of net and white ribbons. Tom Patras, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Jerry McKillip was groomsman. Ushering were Jerry Hahlbeck, Norfolk, and Rodney Charf, Ne ligh. Steve Patras, Plattsmouth, and Billy Michael, were candielight ers. A reception was held following the ceremony, attended by 200 guests. Mrs. Donald Snider, Cole drige, served as hostess. Mrs. Walter Westerhoff baked and served the wedding cake, and Mrs. Walt Lang served the bride groom’s cake. Mrs. Ilene Sch mitz presided at the coffee ser vice. Serving punch were Mrs. Jerry Hahlbeck, Norfolk, and Miss Joyce Anderson. Mrs. Ster ling Legate and the Misses Bet ty Tinsley, Jeanette Schrage ami Lois Moser arranged the gifls. Mrs. James Latzel, Ewing had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Jerry McKillip took care of the flowers. Servers were Mrs. Jim Good, Ewing, Miss Judy Filsing er, Omaha, Miss Peggy Patras, Plattsmouth, and Miss Sharon Twiss. The bride graduated from Clearwater high school and the Norfolk Beauty school. She has been employed by Ilene’s Beauty school. Mr. Patras attended Clearwa ter high school and Norfolk Jun ior college. He is presently em ployed at Wells Dental Lab in Norfolk, where the couple will re side at 509 South 6th Street. Dianne Pavlik Weds Donald G. McElhose VERDIGRE—Miss Dianne F Pavlik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vennie Pavlik, was united in mar riage June 25 at 4 p.m. to Don ald Gene McElhose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McElhose, all of Verdigre, in the local ZCBJ hall. The Rev. David T. Gustafson, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the double ring cere mony before an altar fashioned on the stage, and decorated with arch, lighted candelabra and bas kets of gladioli and asters. Mrs. Rudolph Pavlik jr., was pianist and Ted D. Ward was soloist. The bride appeared in a bridal gown fashioned of silk organza and handclipped rose point lace over mist taffeta. The slim sculp tured bodice was styled with a semi-scoop neckline overlaid with jewel encrusted lace and brief sleeves similarly detailed. The bouffant floor length skirt fell from a petal waistline and flow ed into a chapel train. Appliques of lace embroidered with seed pearls and iridescents were scat tered over the skirt. The bustle length veil of imported silk il lusion was caught to a queen’s crown. She carried a semicres cent bouquet of an orchid and stephanotis. Sister of the bridegroom. Miss Donna Kaye McElhose, was maid of honor. Miss Rosemary Mar shall and Miss Jeannette Pavlik were bridesmaids. The attendants wore ballerina length gowns of silk mist organza in shades of li lac, nile and maize. The empire bodices were of Chantilly lace, designed with short sleeves and portrait necklines. The skirts were cut on a princess line, full swirl, with back inserts and a ser ies of French bows. They wore cap style headclips of organza leaves in matching colors, and carried baskets of white carna tions. Ronnie Pavlik, brother of the bride, was best man, and Jerry McElhose. brother of the bride groom, was groomsman. Arnold Miller and Archie Juracek were ushers and candlelighters. Miss Jan Jerman was flower girl, and Michael McElhose, Nor folk. was ring bearer. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the basement of the hall for 300 guests. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thoendel. Walter Pavlik and Mrs. Clar ence Kucera cut the four-tier wedding cake. Mrs. Archie Jura cek presided at the coffee ser vice. Mrs. Tony C. Paesl and Mrs. Ludvick Ellis served as hos tesses. In charge of the guest book was Mrs. Ted 0. Yager, and caring for the gift table were Miss Judy Jacot, Miss Rita Ve cera and Miss Ilene Mlady. Tony C. Chocholousek and Laurance Mastalir served at the refresh ment table, assisted by Richard Novacek and Jerald Tichy. The Misses Kathy Kucera, Betty Ku cera, Jeannette Marshall, Pennie Jerman, Patty Dittrick, Annette Uhlir. Barbara Boelter and Sonia Prokop were waitresses. Mes dames William Kalal, William R. Fosterman, Joe Divis, Anton Dob ry and Martha Mlady assisted in the kitchen. The bride and bridegroom are graduates of the Verdigre high school with the class of 1960. The bride is employed at the Ritz Beauty shop and Mr. McElhose is employed by his father. Following a wedding trip the couple will reside three miles west of Verdigre. Prior to leaving on their trip, the couple were hosts at a wedding dance in the hall. Janice Charf, Terry Storm Wed at Royal ROYAL — Miss Janice Gay Charf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Charf, and Terry E. Storm, son of Mr. and Mrs. For rest Storm, all of Royal, were married Friday, June ?0, at 8 p.m. in the Methodist church in Royal. The Rev. Duane Lenz officiated in the double ring ceremony be fore an altar decorated with bas kets of assorted flowers, sprays of orchid and white gladioli and branched candelabra. Mrs. Dale Weber provided traditional wed ding music at the piano. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of hand clipped Chantilly lace and misty talle. Natural scallops of lace, embroid ered with sequins, framed the Sabrina neckline of lace and the three-quarter length tapered sleeves. Tne deep V of the snug fitting basque bodice of satin dip ped in the full skirt of hand cut lace panels dividing ruffles of nylon tulle. A large hoop enhanc ed the style of the gown. The veil of French illusion was caught by a crown of white sequins. She carried an arrangement of folw ers centered with an orchid. Miss Marlene Rader was maid of honor and she was attired in a full skirted ballerina length dress of orchid organza with matching tiara and veil. She car ried a semi-cascade arrangement of white carnations tipped with orchid. Garold Storm, brother of the bridegroom served as best man. Mrs. Rodney Charf was in charge of the guest book. Miss Anita Weber and Miss Jeanette Klabenes assisted with the serving. Mrs. Edwin Rund quist and Mrs. Walter Beutler helped with the table decorations. Assisting with the refreshments were Mesdames Hans Hofer, Ro bert Hargert. Clarence Weber, Harold Darwson, Alva Rabbass, Harold Frances and William Mit teis. Both Mr. and Mrs. Storm at tended Royal high school. Mrs. Storm plans to attend Norfolk Junior college. Mr. Storm attended Norfolk Junior college two years and was employed the past year in Mea dow Grove where he will again teach the coming year. They will take up residence in Meadow Grove in August. O'Neill Locals Mr. and Mrs. William A. Ware and family of California arrived in O’Neill this week where they will make their home. Dr. Edward Carroll and family, Ventura, Calif., visited the Hugh Coyne family last week. He is Mrs. Coyne’s nephew, and the son of the former Kittie Dwyer. Members Take Trip The Meet Thy Neighbor club met at the home of Mrs. William Babutzke June 28. Twelve mem bers answered roll call with a one-dish recipe. It was decided to have a picnic at Ford’s park July 4 at noon. After the business meeting the group adjourned to the John Hickey farm to view their grotto. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Eng dahl and family, Denver, Colo., were houseguests over the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Neil Dawes. Saturday they were entertained at a picnic at Ford park. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beilin, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wray and family, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peacock and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dawes hnd family and the Rev. and Mrs. Glenn Kennicott. Sunday noon the Peacocks entertained in their honor at a patio party at their home. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tompkins and daughter, Linnelle of Lincoln, Ned Kelley, Inman, Jim Beatty, the Kcnnicotts and the Dawes family. The Denver visitors re turned to their home Sunday af ternoon. Mrs. Engdahl at one time taught a Red Cross first aid class here and Mr. Engdahl was with the Soil Conservation district. Mrs. Grant Peacock left Wed nesday for Wayne to complete her studies at summer school in Wayne State Teachers college. She received pulled ligaments in her left leg when she twisted her foot on a rock. Mrs. Peacock is using cratches until the injury is healed. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hoxsie and family visited Mrs. Elsie Uhl on June 26. Mr. and Mrs. George Gay and daughters, Mary and Margaret of Kittery, Me. visited Tuesday with Gerry and A1 Sauser and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sauser. The Gays were enroute home after a two week vacation in Louisville, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert H Eilers of Neilgh spent the Fourth with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Ed Hancock. Arthur G. Frisch, son of Mrs. Ethel Frisch, has completed a nine months course in auto me chanics at the Universal Trades school in Omaha. He is now em ployed at the Galyen Motor com pany in Atkinson. The square neckline was scalloped and trimmed with pearls. Tiny lace covered buttons closed the back of the gown. The fingertip length illusion veil of nylon tulle fell from a crown of sequins and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white carnations. Miss Bonnie Sanderson was in charge of the guest book, and taking care of the gift table Were the Misses Betty Morrow, Judy Smith and Bobby Mashi. Serving the bride’s table were Miss Joyce Harmon and Miss Sally Burney. The bride attended O’Neill public high school and the bride room attended Chambers public school. After a short wedding trip the couple will reside at a ranch south of Chambers.
