Residents of O’Neill may register both Tuesday and Wednesday. Out-of-town residents register Wednes day. Any child may register if he has reached his seventh birth day by June 1 and is still of high school age. All out-of-town residents (outside the city limits of O'Neill 1 must pay one dollar registration fee at the time of registration. There can be no group registration. Dorsey News By Mrs. Harold Osborn < Visitors at the Harold Osborn home Sunday were Jack Daily, Mr. and Mrs. Leman Huber and Mr. and Mrs. Buss Greene. Mr. and Mrs. Buss Greene had just returned from Roseland where they had visited their son, Stan ley and family. They brought some of their household furni ture back with them to store until he returns from school in Georgia. Stanley won a scholarship for the Georgia school and that will be where he and his family will spend the next year. Mr. and Mrs. Huber had been to the Dorsey cemetery to decorate some of their relatives graves as they attend other services on Mem orial Day. Jerry Rosenkrans visited at the Reuben Redlinger home near Ew ing Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barta were Verdigre visitors Saturday evening. They visited the William Kalal’s and Evelyn Barta, who had been spending the past week at her grandparents home. Eve lyn stayed for a longer visit with her grandparents. Betty Mashino returned home from Chadron where she had been attending college. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Crawford and Pamela were Sunday visitors at the Gordon Barta home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Osborn drove to Wayne Friday after their daughter, Ruth. She had been attending college there. Marlyn Graham attended Bon nie Flander’s wedding Saturday at the Methodist church in Lynch. The reception was at Legion hall. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Graham and Marlyn attended a wedding of one of Marilyn’s girl friends, she met while attending junior college in Norfolk at Orchard Sunday. toward Carson tooK his sister Mrs. Carrie Hunter, to the Lynch hospital Sunday. Mrs. Hunter wasn't feeling very well, and seemed to be very weak, so has been admitted to the hospital to see if she can regain some strength. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady and Mrs. Siders were callers at the Edward Carson home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Derickson were supper guests at the Mar vin Drobnys Sunday evening. Mr. and Mi's. Lester Derickson and family were dinner guests at the John Derickson home Sun day. J une Carson and Ruth Osborn are at their homes having re turned from college work. Miss Carson plans on attending college this summer, while Miss Osborn will be at home during the Sum mer, returning this fall. Mrs. Georgie Butterfield is vis iting her sister, Sadie Derickson since she completed her term of teaching school. Former O'Neill Woman Dies in Salt Lake City A former O’Neill resident, Mrs. Lillian Dugan, 65, died at her home in Salt Lake City May 20 after a short illness. Mrs. Dugan was the daughter I of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perkins Brooks, pioneer residents of Holt county. Receive Word of Death of S. S. Schlottman RIVERSIDE — S. S. Schlott man received word Friday morning that his father, Silas Schlottman, had died at a nurs ing home in David City that morning. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Metho dist church in Valapraiso and were attended hy Mr and Mrs Schlottman of Riverside. Plan Graduate Work Marvin Miller, principal at O - Neill high school, will leave June 12 for Lincoln where hi' will en roll at the University of Nebras ka. Mr. Miller will take graduate work there this summer. Memorial Services Held at Orchard ORCHARD Memorial Day services were held at the ceme tery at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday under the arrangements of the Ameri can legion Victory Post No. 136. The high school band provided musical numbers and the Rev. Walter Seefeldt p r e sent e d prayers. A vocal selection was given by Lana Cleveland and Betty Von Seggorn. Receive Diploma Mrs. Genevieve Harty Friday night attended the commence ment exercises at the College of St. Mary in Omaha. Her daughter.
