Kathy Walker of Omaha came to Plainview Saturday where her father, Cordes Walker, met her. She returned Sunday afternoon. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Cordes Walker and Larry and Mrs. Evelyn Gray attended bac calaureate services in Plainview. Bonnie Baber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baber of Norfolk, was one of the graduating class. Mrs. Evelyn Gray was an over night guest Saturday in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Gray. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Neubauer, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stewart and Mrs. Carrie Sterner had Sunday dinner at the Bill Neubauer pic nic tables. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Finley of Clearwater were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Finley. The men are brothers. Mrs. Jerome Allen returned home Sunday from Sioux City where she has b(>en a patient in St. Vincent hospital for surgery last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Matschullat of Nemaha and her niece, Mrs. George Elperson and husband of Auburn, arrived Saturday for a visit with Henry’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Matschullat. Their daughters, Mrs. Alice Clark of San Diego and Mrs. Mernon Chase of Port ersville, Calif., Dale Matschullat and family and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Anthony of Inman joined the group Saturday evening. Mrs. Clark returned to her home Tues day after several weeks visit. Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Ickes sr. and Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Ickes jr. and family were Sunday guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorensen jr. near Ash Grove in honor of Mother’s Day and Mrs. Ickes jr’s birthday anniversary. The Lutheran Ladies Aid members served the Tea which was attended by 66 guests. Mrs. Lorenz Riege accompanied them there. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lamp shire of Polk and their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lampshire of Bolivia. South America, Mr. and Mrs. El mer Spann of Atkinson and Willis Russell were Mother’s Day guests in the home of Mrs. J. R. Russell. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sojka and son, John, and Mrs. Pete Sojka and children were last weekend visitors in the homes of relatives in Omaha. Dave Farnsworth of Las Ve gas, Nevada, met his brother, E. H. Farnsworth in Omaha at the conclusion of his medical check-up there and accompanied him to Page where he was a guest for a week in the Farns worth and Carl Max homes. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Farnsworth took his brother to Fremont where they visited the men’s sister. Minnie Farnsworth, recently of Omaha but now a resident of the new Hospital Annex apartments. From there Dave went on to Lin coln to visit his sister, Mrs. C. J. Malmsten and returned to his Ne vada home by plane. Mrs. Wayne Fisher and son, Jerry, were last weekend visit ors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eggen. Mr and Mrs Calvin Coolidge and family of O’Neill and Vivian Ragland, who is employed at the Contois Motor company in Neligh, were Sunday dinner guests in the William Ragland home Alvis Freemeyer and daughter of Stockton, Kan., spent the week end with his uncle, Harold Free meyer and family, and visited friends in O’Neill enroute home. District 23 pupils and the teach er, Mrs. Robert Nissen, had their picnic Saturday to close out the year. District 39, Mrs. Robert Prill, teacher, had their picnic also on Saturday. On Sunday Mrs. Ruth Hansen’s school district 88 had theirs. The mothers of the class of 1958 held a pre-nuptial shower for Miss Lura Anne CrUmly at the Page Methodist church.
