Mrs. Ray Siders attended the funeral of Mrs. Cleveland at Or chard Wednesday. Mrs. Violet Sholes attended a VFW Auxiliary meeting Tuesday. Installation of officers followed at the Recruiting office in O'Neill. Vaden Kivett, Dale Lines and Bert Smith spent the weekend at their homes. They have been em ployed at Newman Grove and will move the first of the week to Curtis, Nebr Zions Daughters of the RLDS church met Tuesday evening with Mrs. David Morsbach. After the lesson the hostess served lunch to the group. Several from Inman attended the wtdd.ng of Jean Jackson and Hubert Burival at St. Patrick’s church Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kopecky and Dickie were Saturday eve ning dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anthony and fam ily. Verdigre News By Vac Kanda Ariie Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Nelson a senior was! among 10 Nebraska Future j Farmers to be recognized for out- j standing achievement in pure-j bred herd developement. Ariie j was presented a check for $50 from the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben.! The Verdigre chapter was recog nized for its outstanding accom plishments in farm safety again this year and the chapter ranked j third among 158 active chapters i in the state. For this placing it! received a blue ribbon award and in addition, the Omaha! Chamber of Commerce present ed Verdigre with a wall plaque. Other honors received were; third place rating and gold med al certificate from the farm equip-! ment industry in recognition of the corn harvesting safety pro-1 gram last fall, and a superior rat-1 ing in the state association for its past year’s activities.
