TTiey had been here a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lam eson. Kathlene Walker also ac companied them there. WSCS met Thursday for the third meeting of the month. The Rev. Robert Linder gave the last of the study course. This was fol lowed by a covered dish lunch eon at noon. The president, Mrs. J. Finch, conducted the business meeting. Cleaning and repair work of the parsonage was dis cussed with Mrs. Arnold Stewart and Mrs. Jessie Kelly a commit tee of two to decide what should be done. The annual spring clean ing was discussed with the Kang’s Daughters to set the date. A spring meeting of the NE dis trict will be held at Bloomfield April 10 with several women plan ning to attend. April 27 is the date set for the Senior tea. The January, February and March birthdays were observed with Mesdames Roy Zellers, Cordes, Arnold Stewart, Elsie Corks, Sorensen sr. Alton Brad dock, R. F. Park and the Rev. Bob Linder sitting at the birth day table. Coffee and cake were served in honor of them. A sympathy card was sent to the Rollie Snell family. HOA met Tuesday with Mrs. William Neubauer. All members except one was present. Mrs. Herbert Stevens was a guest. They did their own fancy work. They will meet next with Mrs. Homer Rutherford. Dr. George Clinton of Los An geles, Calif., arrived here Sun day to spend two weeks with his mother, Mrs. Bertha Reed. The Allen Haynes were plea santly surprised Saturday when Roselle Buck and his sister, Hope Buck, called on them. The Bucks now live in Oakdale but are former Pageites. Allen worked for their father 65 years ago and the Buck child ren were students of Mrs. Haynes when she taught school at district 55. They had come up on Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Rollie Snell and decided to say hello to old friends. A lunch was brought and served by the self invited guests. Mrs. Wilbur Mit chell baked and decorated a cake and presented it to Mr. and Mrs. Graham. The guests departed at a late hour, wishing the couple many more “Happy Anniversar ies.’’ Word has been received by Mrs. Thomas Hiscocks that her sister, Mrs. Maude Huber is ill. She had been caring for an aged lady and while caring for her suffered a heart attack. Friends hope to hear that she will soon be up and around. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nelson and daughter were March 2f> guests at the Lyle Wells home. Several families came to the Osborn home Tuesday to spend the evening with them and see Ruth who is on vacation for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Green, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Slack, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Leukens and Jean and R. E. Wiley and Lyle Wells were present. Cards furnished the entertainment for the evening.
