Atkinson News Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kazda were Surprised last Tuesday to have as guests, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brc/wn of The Dalles, Ore., Mrs. Pearl Smith and Mrs. Rose Hull of Johnstown. The Brown’s have been visiting Mrs. Brown’s mother, Mrs Hose Hull and Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Alfred Kazda arc sis ters. They were c/vernight guests at the Kazda heme and returned to Johnstown Wednesday evening. Mrs. J.oaper Leago of Houston, Tex., came last Saturday to vis it her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack and other relatives and to attend the wedding of her bro ther, Denton Colfack to Sandra Putnam on March 26 at Butte. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown of The Dalles, Ore., Mrs. Pearl Smith, Mrs. Rose Hull and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kazda were last Tuesday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kazda went to Johnstown Saturday to spend the weekend wih Mrs. Rose Hull and other relatives. Mr. Lester Schmadeke of Om aha was a Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Wefso. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Skrdla left Monday for Rochester where Mrs. Skrdla was to enter the Clinic for a medical check up. Tommy and Peggy Steinhauser of Stuart, children of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Steinhauser, spent Sunday and Sunday night with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson. Mrs. Steinhauser came for the children Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Colfack and family of O’Neill, Mrs. Bud Won dercheck and family of Newport and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack and Dennis and Mrs. Jasper Lea go of Houston, Tex., helped Mrs. NeJs Colfack celebrate her 80th birtliday Sunday. Merry Mixers The Merry Mixers Extension club met Monday night at the home of Mrs. Winnie Beck. Ele ven members answered roll call by telling, “What Spring Clean ing Task We Dislike Most.” Mrs. Ted Manser joined our group and is a new member. Mrs. Frank Enbody had charge of the lesson on “Arthritis”. Our hobby instruction was given by Mrs. John assisted by her hus band, on aluminum etching. Each member completed a coaster at this meeting. Contest winners were Marion Roberts and Vi Ashcraft. The next meeting will be in April, the place to be de cided later. Winners from the Atkinson Bowling Alley last week in the mixed doubles were: Nina Miller and Dick Wilbern first, Mr. and Mrs. Don Skrdla second place, Claire Brook and Arlene Engler third place winners. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wahl took their grandson, Bryan Haas, to Valentine last Sunday. He had spent a week in Atkinson with his grandparents. Inman News By Mrs. James McMahan Mrs. James Banks accompan ied Mrs. John Buhlman jr. of Bartlett and Dean Banks of Lin coln to Ava, Mo., Friday where they attended funeral services for their brother-in-law and uncle, Lester Eslick Sunday. Mrs. Banks also visited her sister, Mrs. Ed Boles at Chadwick, Mo. They re turned home Tuesday evening. Ralph Sholes, who is employed at Schuyler, visited over the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Violet Sholes. John Schrunk visited from Fri day until Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Gaines Rzeszotarski at Atkinson. Mrs. Rzeszotarski brought her father to his home Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Banks and family of Lincoln visited Mr. and Mrs. James Banks and Roger Wednesday afternoon. James Banks and son, Roger, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Rickard at Chambers. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schrunk and family of Ewing attended church at the RLDS church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold McMillian and daughters of Newport visited Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Michaelis and Sharon Thursday evening. Charles Young and James Sho les, who are employed near Sut ton, spent the weekend at Inman. Vern Wrede of O’Neill was an Inman visitor Thursday. Mrs. Elmer Michaclis return ed home Friday evening from Atkinson Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for a couple of days. David Sobotka, who attends Norfolk Junior college, spent the weekend visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sobotka. John Hipke of O’Neill was an Inman visitor Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Ivan Couch and Conda and Bruce visited Mrs. Eva Couch at the hospital at Plain view Saturday morning. Leo and Joe Harte and James Coventry were in Norfolk Friday on business. Terry Anthony accompanied Otto, Dale and Douglas Matshul lat of Page to Norfolk Saturday to visit Mrs. Otto Matschullat, who is a patient at the Lutheran hospital there. Ivan Couch, who is employed at Geneva, spent the weekend with his family. Mrs. Albina Belik has returned from Page where she visited Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Belik and fam ily. A good crowd attended the dairy sale at the Harry Moore farm Friday afternoon and good prices were realized from the 36 head of cattle sold. The ladies of the WSCS served lunch at the sale. James Coventry attended a Union Insurance company meet ing Thursday at the hotel at Norfolk. He was accompanied to Norfolk by Mrs. Leo Harte. James and Bill Kelley attended funeral services for Ray Mueting at Norfolk Thursday morning at Sacred Heart church. Mrs. Albert Anthony and Gay lene and Otto Matschullat visited Mrs. Otto Matschullat a the Lu theran hospital in Norfolk Thurs day. Mr. and Mrs. Don Luben and daughters of Wisner brought Mrs. Charles Luben to her home Sun day.
