Mrs. S. M. Burtwistle, vice-pres ident, presided at the business meeting. A topic for discussion was the entertainment of the Or chard and Neligh chapters Order of the Eastern Star. This was followed by an informal hour. The hostess served a two course luncheon. The Thursday Night pitch club was entertained February 23 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. El mer Bergstrom. Other entertainment con sisted of games and group sing ing with Waldo Davis in charge. Bertha Harris and Jeraldine Sny der, who celebrated birthday an niversaries February 28 , were honored. The cake was baked by Mrs. H. R. Harris and was serv ed as a part of the refreshments. It was agreed to make this a monthly get-together to be held the last Sunday of the month. Mr. Sedivy will be in charge of the devotional period for the next three months. The Methodist Youth Fellowship, with the assis tance of one adult, will take over the entertainment. John A. Other guests Sunday were Jacque Johnson and her parents from Cody. Miss Johnson is a student nurse at a Lincoln hospital. Little Lisa Lucas was a guest Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Billings, while her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ar thur Lucas of Clearwater attend ed the 75th anniversary program of the Ewing United Presbyter ian church. Later in the after noon, Mr. and Mrs. Billings ac companied the Lucas family to their home for supper and to spend the evening. The families also visited Mrs. Myrtle Kimes at Clearwater. Sunday afternoon guests at the James Rotherham home were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kickrehm and Mary Kay of Grand Island. Perry Saiser recently spent sev eral days in Lincoln visiting his son, Ramond Saiser and family, and in Omaha at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Hoag and family. Mrs. Bertha Urban, Mrs. Al fred Doud and Mrs. Edna Lof quest attended the funeral of Mrs. Lindquist, mother of Mrs. Mar tha Hill of Ewing, which was held Sunday afternoon at Biglin’s Funeral chapel in O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lof quest of Stuart and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McClurg of Atkinson at tended the 75th anniversary of the Ewing Presbyterian church. They were also guests at the home of Mrs. Edna Lof quest. Mrs. Lof quest and her guests al so visited at the Howard Miller home the same day. Inman Community club met Monday evening at the school for the regular meeting. The newly organized Boy Scout troup gave the flag salute and Scout pledge. At the close of the meeting games were played. Mr. anti Mrs. Albert Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. Harry McGraw were on the entertainment committee. Coffee committee was Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Mrs. Cal Geary and Marlene returned Saturday afternoon from a week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Nelson and daughter and Kenneth Nelson at Craig.
