"D", 1st Battle Group, 134th Infantry, O'Neill, serve not only their country by providing a ready mili fary defense, but also serve their area in time of emergency. They stand ready to provide trained aid during disasters with police action, first aid, radio contact, traffic control, local manpower needs and many other vital services. You contact these trained men every day in their civilian occupations as clerks, mechanics, farmers, etc., but only during time of emergency do you see these men provide their trained service as a unit. A visit to a Guard meeting c an give you an insight into the unit standing ready to serve you. Get to know your Guard, as you know a friend you would depend on in time of emergency.
