Mrs. Dana Sisson substituted
in Ewing Monday for Mrs. Mel
vin Roxin who had the flu.

Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Bartak and
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bartak spent
last week in Orlando, Fla. They
have been doing some fishing.
Mrs. G. A. Bauer visited the
Sylvester Bauer home Saturday.
Mrs. Minnie Miller of Omaha
visited here recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reimer
were Sunday guests at the Fred
Harpster home. Terry and Wil
lard Harpster were there also.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Larson,
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tomjack
and Mrs. Myrtle .Jewell of Dallas,
S. D., spent Sunday evening at
the Henry Reimer home.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mlinar
and daughters of O’Neill spent
January 28 at the Leonard Larson
home.
The HEO club plans to meet
with Mrs. Freddie Bollwitt on
Thursday.
Mrs. Mary Steams visited in
Tilden Thursday.
Madine Steams is home from
the University of Nebraska for a
few days vacation between se
mesters.
Mrs. Ralph Tomjack plans to
present a lesson on making
fiber flowers for the Christian
Mothers at St. John’s Wednes
day. They plan to make the
flowers to decorate the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reimer
were guests Thursday evening at
the Leonard Knapp home in Ew
ing.
Dr. and Mrs. Prellwitz and
family of Kearney spent the week
at the Frank Bohn ranch home.
Mrs. Louis Pofahl planned to
leave the Omaha hospital Satur
day and be hospitalized in Neligh
Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Tomjack,
Mike and Ray of Hastings spent
the weekend at the Ralph Tom
jack’s and celebrated Mike’s
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reimer
were entertained Friday evening
nt the Ralph Tomjack home.
Friends surprised Mr. and Mrs.
Sterling Legate and son Friday
evening in their new home. They
moved recently to the Mary
Steams farm.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tomjack
and Fred Sisson were Norfolk vi
sitors Friday. Ralph and Fred
had cattle on the market.
Several from here attended the
Redlinger sale Friday. They are
moving to the former Huffman
ranch where they will be em
ployed.
Mrs. G. A. Bauer returned
home last week after spending
several weeks at the Otto Kall
hoff home near Clearwater. Mrs.
Kallhoff was hospitalized about
three weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jewell and
Mrs. Jewell’s father of Dallas, S.
D., spent Sunday at the Johnny
Bauer home.
Fred Sisson and Mrs. E, L. Sis
son were visitors at the Clarence
Schmiser home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Manson
and Mrs. Sidney Anderson of O’
Neill were Sunday dinner guests
at the Sherman Gumsey home.
It was Mrs. Gurnsey’s birthday
anniversary.
Mrs. Neta Lee Jones is doing
substitute teaching for a short
time. Mrs. Fred Maben is caring
for Rocky.
Mrs. Howard Manson and Mrs.
Henry Reimer attended the polio
benefit band concert in Inman
Monday evening. Mrs. Reimer
was an overnight guest at the
Manson home.
Joe Tomjack jr., of Oregon,
who attends Notre Dame Uni
versity, visited the Leonard
Knapp and Ralph Tomjack homes
recently.
