Proceeds were $71.35. Mrs. Don Ruroede was chairman of the Ewing drive assisted by Mrs. Merlyn Meyer. First on the program was a volley ball game between the high school girls and the mar ried ladies. This was a close match, with the ladies winning two of the three game match. Coach James Kay was in charge. Members of the winning team were Mesdames G. D. Ryan, Gary Tessmer, James Kay, Archie Tuttle, Ron Ruroede, Alex Thramer and Jerry Tom jack. Next on the evening’s enter tainment was a basket ball game between the faculty team and the Ewing Tigers. This was a close game until the last quarter when the faculty team pulled ahead GIGANTIC Truck Load Pre-Lenten FISH SALE at the OUTLAW to win 64-53. Referees were Jerry Black and Fred Wright, Scorekeepers were Clifford Juracek and l^arry Nof fke. On the faculty team were G. D. Ryan, David Wright, Bill Bauer, Gary Eacker, James Kay, Gary Tessmer, Merlyn Meyer. At half-time the Ewing public, school band put on a half hour drill. Boies and Mrs. Ralph Munn are den mothers. The first meeting of the two cub packs was held Wednes day. More packs w'ill be formed as membership increases. Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Spahn were surprised Friday evening when a group of friends arrived to help them celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary. Cards were played. The February meeting will be held at the Waldo Davis home. Thursday Night Pitch The Thursday Night Pitch club was entertained Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tuttle. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Tessmer. Winners were Mrs. Elmer Bergstrom, Mr. Charles Rotherham, Mrs. Charles Rotherham and Mr. Bergstrom. Gene Sisson, who has been stationed several months in Germany, has now been pro moted to Sp. 5. Gene will leave for the United States about March 15. Mr. and Mrs. G. D. A waffle supper was served and the evening hoars were spent vis iting. The honored couple was pre sented gifts. The senior class of the Ew ing high school has chosen “Man, was I Scared”, a three act comedy, as their class play.
