Page News By Mm, Ben Asher Mrs. Frank Cronk took high score honors when the Bid or Bye bridge club met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Harold Ash er as hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Roberts and family of Ewing were Friday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stewart. After supper callers were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gray and Chuck Roberts. On Wednesday night Mr. and Mrs. George Wettlaufer and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Asher attended the fights in O’Neill. They spent the rest of the evening visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wettlaufer of O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mudloff and Mrs. Catharine Mudloff left Mon day to spend a couple of days in Omaha. Mrs. Catharine Mudloff was houseguest of her daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Hill. Mrs. Tony Mudloff was a guest of Mrs. Mar vin Prokup. Tony returned home and went back Wednesday to bring the ladies home. They al so visited with Miss Madelyn Mudloff, who is a patient in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Robbins of Rushville were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Asher. Mr. and Mrs. Byran Finch were Tuesday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Finch. Nine members were present when the NOK Club met Thurs day with Mrs. Jim Stewart. It was voted to send $5 to the heart fund. Mrs. Keith Kennedy will be the next hostess. Joan and Bruce Davis, children of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Davis of Norfolk, accompanied Ronnie Summers here to spend a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Summers. Jerry Summers arrived home after an oversea tour of duty for 30 days. He’ll report back to Camp Carson, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Ickes and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Troshynski were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Pongratz of O’Neill Wednesday night. On Friday night the members of the Neighborhood club and their families surprised Leslie Summers on his birthday. Edward Thompson, USMC of Sioux City visited Mr. and Mrs. James E. Kelley January 6. On Saturday Pvt. Kelley and Pvt. Thompson left for California. Pvt. Thompson was also assigned photography at El Toro. James and Bill Kelley spent Wednesday and Thursday visit ing in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Don Kelley and daughter at Ohiowa and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kelley at Fairbury.
