Holds Nov. Meeting
The Wesleyan Service Gui'd met
Monday evening at the home of
Mrs. Laurence Haynes for the
regular meeting
Mrs. Esther Harris conducted
the bjsiness meeting. George
Hammond and Dr. Rex Wilson,
members of the school board,
spoke on the school bond issue.
The group gave the school board
a vi te ot c nfidence.
Miss Effie Stevens gave the de
votions and program. The next
meeting will be at the home of
Mrs. J. L. Sherbahn on Decem
ber 19.

St. Patrick's Altar
Society Plans Drive
St. Patrick’s Altar society met
last Thursday evening in St.
Mary’s gym.
Mrs. James Gallagher an
nounced the Bishop's clothing
drive will be the project for
November. All clothing should be
left at the Joe Dufek garage at
716 East Clay for sorting and
packaging.
Mrs. Roebrt Devoy thanked all
the ladies for their participation
in the annual day of recollection.
Father Robert Duffy spoke to
the group. Entertainment was
furnished by the second and
fifth grades of St. Mary’s acade
my accompanied by Sister Flores.
The meeting was in charge of
St. Margaret's guild with Mrs.
Robert Moore as chairman.

conducted the business meeting.
Mrs. Libby Pribil was a guest.
There were eleven members pre
sent.
Mrs. Charles Boyle was ap
pointed to make and care for the
club scrap book. Each member
hemmed and m;>nogramed a t"a
towel to be presented to St.
Anthony’s hospital.
The next meeting will be a
Christmas party December 28 at
the home of Mrs. Charles Boyle
with an exchange of gifts.

Saturday at Tilden
Our Lady of Mount Carmel

for the wedding of Frances Jean
Fischer of Norfolk, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer of
Tilden, and Jerry Kallhoff of
Ewing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gar
rett Kallhoff of Ewing, Saturday,
Nov. 19. The Rev. Walter Flynn
officiated at the 11 a.m. nuptial
mass.
Mrs. Herbert Nichols of Nor
folk and Miss Kay Wilson of
Meadow Gr ve rang the w ddirg
music. Mrs. Harlan King of
Meadow Grove was the ac
companist. Richard Spieckerman
and D v:d Schapmann of Tilden
were the altar boys.
The bride, escorted to the al
tar by her father, appeared in a
gown of white velvet with a Sa
brina neckline, fitted bodice and
bridal sleeves. The neckline
featured lace appliques accented
with rhinestones. The low pointed
waistline was styled with a drop
bow in the back. The full s’ort
ended in a chapel train. Her
finger tip veil of nylon tulle edged
with lac? was attached to a
crown of lace covered with pearls
and sequins. She carried a
lavender orchid encircled Vy
white roses on a white prayer
book, a gift of the bridegroom.

was matron of honor for her
sister Mrs. Gary Seifert of
Papillion. Mrs. Albert Nelson of
Lincoln and Miss Barbara O
Banion of Meadow Grove served
as bridesmaids. They were gown
ed identically in street length
dresses of purple velvet. The
dresses were designed in princess
style with scoop necklines and

santhemums centered with purple
chrysanthemums.
Margaret Corkle of Tilden was
the flower girl.
Richard Kallhoff of Ewing was
his brother’s best man. Leonard

A dinner was served in the
church basement for 200 guests.

Mrs. Fred Fritton entertained
fifteen guests Saturday after
noon at her home with Mrs. Nick
Bohn as co-hostess.
Mrs. Roy Wayman won the

Omaha, appeared in a gown of
hand clipped chantilly lace over
tulle and satin. The bodice was
styled with a sabrina neckl'ne
and bridal sleeves. The bouffant
skirt featured inserts of tulle in
front and back tr'mmod with ap
pliques and lace. Her French
illusion veil was caught by a
half crown trimmed with pearls

7:30 p m. ceremony .
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Minnie Ola Lacy and the
late Arthur H. Lacy of Okla
homa City and the bridegroom’s
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bolton
Randa of Verdigre.

The bride, given in marriage by
her brother, Charles Arthur Lacy,
appeared in a floor length gown

Mrs. Randa is a graduate of
U. S. Grant high school in Okla
homa City. Mr. Randa graduated
from Verdigre high school and
has served two years in the
army.

Lake Murray resort, the couple
will reside on a farm near Ver

He was graduated from Hastings
college and is a junior at the Uni
versity of Nebraska College of
