I am an avid reader of The Frontier, having been born and educated in O’Neill. My last visit there was in 1956. . Poems and flowers are my hot)-! by too. I also enjoy corresponding with people. I would enjoy hear ing from you. Most Sincerely, Florence M. Felts 24 East Bowery St. Newport, R. I. Apt. No. 2 How WlU YOU Vote? O’Neill, Nebraska October 31, 1960 Dears Sirs: Does O'Neill NEED four gym nasiums? Let’s take a hard look at this problem confronting us. 1- O'Neill Public School already has one of the best high school gymnasiums in Northeast Nebras ka. 2. St. Mary's Academy is scheduled to start work on its new gymnasium very soon. 3. The new Armory building will be under construction soon. It will be equipped with a basketball court which will be made available for basketball practice to those w»ho applv for its use. 4. Now, a proposed new, deluxe gym, the school bond carries. Wouldn’t FOUR gyms make us a bit top-heavy in that depart ment? And do you know as a matter of fact that both St. Mary’s and the Public School have another gym each, in their respective basements, each of which is suitable and used for basketball practice, when needed. We have two schools, two first basketball teams, two second basketball teams. How many gyms do we actually NEED? Weigh the situation. Then, mark your ballot on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
