Mass, we stopped at Buffalo, N Y , and took a six hour tour of the Niagara Falls. Also entered Canada and viewed the falls from the Canadian side. We put on raincoats and rubber boots and went through the tun .nels built under the falls. Get sprayed? Sure we did but we were prepared for It and enjoyed It While visiting at Buzzards Bay Saturday we took a trip to the end of Cape God. Here wo touched the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and some fishermen gave us an 8-lb. striped bass to bring home for supper. We also visited Provincetown and here we climbed a 252 foot tower and viewed the ocean. Cape Cod nnd surrounding country. Sunday we visited Plymouth and saw Plymouth Rock. We also saw the Mayflower built in England and sailed to Plymouth, Mass , in April, 1957, a gift of the people of Great Britan to the people of the Unted States as a gesture of friendship. Rev. and Mrs. Ivan Christoffer son and family were supper guests Monday evening at Carl Krogh's. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Bixler of Stow. Ohio were weekend guests at the Axel Borg home. Mrs. Bixler is Mr. Borg’s cousin. Greta Kurzcnberger of Spring view was a weekend guest at Edward Kaczor’s. Mr, Ronnie Rouse stayed with his grandmother, Mrs. Howard Rouse, while his mother made a trip to O’Neill Saturday. Paddock Missionary Society met with Mrs. Austin Searles Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Roiland Horn back and family of Spencer were dinner guests of Paul Nelson's Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walters attended the funeral of Mrs. Thorin at Neligh Friday. Mrs. Blanche Rouse of Inman came Monday to visit her daugh ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garold Risor and family. They took her to Milton MeCathnies at Atkinson Thursday evening. Mr and Mrs. Vernon Harding were Wednesday evening visitors di /i.\n ouik ». Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Anson and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson and family were supper guests at Sam Robertson’s Wednesday evening. Agusta Lindberg and her daugh ters, Eleanor and Esther were Sunday dinner guests at the Fred Lindbergs. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Benash were weekend guests at the Ver non Harding’s. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walters and Norma Jean visited Allen Walters Sunday. Visitors Sunday at the Elmer Devall's were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thomas, Mabel and Geneva and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mitchell, San dra and Lee. Turner plans to be pre sent next Sunday at Paddock Union church tor morning ser vices. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Johrtng and family were Friday evening callers at the Henry Watters. Mrs. John Hall visited in the home of her daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dobrovolny from Tuesday to Thursday. Steve Peterson from O'Neill was a weekend guest of Ricky Devall. Birthday Surprise Mrs. Virgil Hubby. Delia Har rison, Mrs. Axel Borg. Mrs Ed ward Kaczor, Els:e Eppenbach and Mrs Fred Lindberg gathered at the Paul Nelson's Tuesday. Marjorie Nelson went over and invited Mrs. Frank Nelson and Mrs. Elizabeth Conard over to her home for a cup of tea. Upon entering the room the ladies greeted Mrs. Nelson by singing "Happy Birthday." An old fashioned school was planned for entertainment. The ladies all put on hair ribbons and Mrs. Axel Borg was teacher. Mrs. Paul Nelson served lunch. Martha Johring entertained a group of ladies Wednesday. Dorothy (Reiken) Miller was an overnight guest Wednesday at j Carl Krogh’s. I Mrs. Kennis Hansen and child ren went to Lynch Friday eve ning to get their daughter, Carol, who is attending high school there. On the way home they at tended a ball game at Spencer, between Lynch and Spencer. Sunday afternoon callers at the Don Borg home were Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Drueke and child ren. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Kruse and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lorenzen of Ft. Calhoun were dinner guests at Frank Nelson’s Monday. The ladies are nieces of Mrs. Nelson and they came to help her cele brate her birthday. Danny Hansen visited with Carla and Sharon Anson Thurs day evening. The men of the community have been busy setting posts and stringing wires for the new tele phone line. Mr. William Hansen made a business trip to Plainview Mon day.
