D., the past week. Mr. Moore met them at Freemont and took her to their home by plane. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Dierking and Cynthia spent the weekend at Freemont. Lloyd Waldo spent several days on a deer hunting trip in Wyom ing His nephew, Dennie Werner of Omaha and the Davids of Chambers also went on the hunt. Bering Daffodillies Entertain at Sunset Tea Daffodilly Club women enter tained at the Sunset Tea in Royal on Wednesday afternoon when 26 women of 65 and more years were honored by the WSCS at the annual tea. The Daffodilly club, six in num ber (Mrs. John Walmer was not present when the picture was taken) banded together some five years ago to provide entertain ment at Community Club meet ings and appeared on monthly programs with original skits and music. They entertain periodically as well as helping out with civic projects. Present at the Sunset Tea as guests were Mmes. Clifford Ziegenbein, Susan Mitchell, Jes sye Shaw, C. E. Everhart, Gert rude Davis, Gertrude Cleveland and Louise Beal, all of Orchard; Allen Haynes, Charles Cronk and Harry Harper of Page; Lottie Wauer of Tilden; Dorothea Lar sen of Belle Fontaine, Ohio; Alex Lichty, Duel Lichty and C. Rundquist was the guest of honor at a birthday dinner at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thomsen and family. Sunday in observance of his seventy-second birthday. The youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Rundquist. pioneer homesteaders south of Royal, he grew to ma turity on the farm, attended school at Wayne, taught in a dis trict school one term and then began his apprenticeship in his father’s mercantile store in Royal where he has been located for 55 years, having purchased the husiness a number of years ago. He is assisted in the store by Mrs. Rundquist and by their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rund quist and their son Nolan, aged 10. Mrs. Mary Field, of Rapid City, S.D., who will be 85 years old on September 30, called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Hering Sunday before leaving for home. Mrs. Field is in excellent health and has never had to use spec tacles. Her hearing is keen and she takes care of all of her busi ness. Mrs. Field owns property in Brunswick and plans to re turn there to live when she has disposed of her home in Rapid City where she has continued to live since the death of her hus band, George W. Field, an uncle of R. J. Hering. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weber were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mauer of Plainview, and also called on Mrs. Weber’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson in the evening.
