into the first game of the sea
son against Osmond, Sept. 9
Those two schools played a 26-25
game last year with Verdigre
getting the “nod”. There is every
indication that this years game
may be a close one. Osmond
coach, Hank VanKirk has scoring
back returning in Charlie Tinner
while the Verdigre coach is plac
ing his hopes on Allen Boelter to
move the ball for Verdigre.

A picnic dinner at the Verdi
gre city park marked the seventh
annual reunion of the Kotrous kin
Sunday, Sept 4
The oldest member present was
Edward Kotrous and the young
est was eleven month old Shirlee
Pilar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Pilar of Center. Coming
from the greatest distance were
the Marvin Kotrous family of
Grant. There were two marriages,
six births and one death during
the p|ist year.
Twenty-eight families attended
the reunion. Guests were Mr and
Mrs. Larry Pilar and daughter
