Mrs. Dewitt Hoke received word that her uncle, Conrad Herting died Thursday night at Salem, S. D. Mr. and Mrs. Hoke and Mrs. Robert Hobbs and Bobby went to Salem on Sunday. Mr. Herting’s funeral was held on Monday. The Richard Miller family of Oakdale and Mrs. John Miller of Ewing were dinner and supper guests, Sept. 4 at the John Mil ler home. Fry assisted Mrs. Lyle Switzer entertain the Jolly Workers club Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8 Gifts were exchanged to reveal the mystery sisters and names were drawn for the coming year. Mrs. Melvin Scheer and Faye attended a banquet Monday eve ning while attending State Fair in Lincoln. Faye received a blue rib bon on her whole wheat bread and red on a loaf of white bread. The banquet was sponsored by Golds. They returned home Thurs day morning. The Willie Shrader family at tended the football game at Bas sett Friday evening. Mrs. George Montgomery was an O’Neill visitor Wednesday af ternoon. Mr and Mrs. Lynn Fry, Jackie and Shield left Saturday morning on a vacation trip. Mr and Mis Verl Gunter and James came September 5 from Springfield, HI., to visit relatives for a few days. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Ver] Gunter, Judy, Johnny and Janies and Alice Shra der were in Blair.
