Dodd’s Oil Company held
their grand opening Saturday.

eled. Approximately 2,500 gal

in Snider.

Don Adams returned Thursday
from the tour of the southern
states. He accompanied a group of
teachers. Mrs. Floyd Adams and
Mrs. Blake Ott met him in Nor
folk Thursday. While he was in
Flordia he sent a Mango fruit
to his parents. Mrs. Adams
shared it with several of us Ame
lia folks. We thought it very de
licious.
Mr. and Mrs. Orland Fryrear
were Spencer callers Thursday.
Almost everyone in the commun
ity attended the Chambers fair
last week. The evenings were very
cold, and some folks froze cut
and came home early.
Mrs. Delia Ernst visited at Mrs.
Maude Forbes Wednesday after
noon.
Farewell Party
Rev. and Mrs. Ivan Turner were
honored with a farewell party
Wednesday by the members and
friends of the Free Methodist
church. Rev. Turner has been
resident pastor of the Ewing Free
Methodist church and also served
the Bethany church near Amelia.
He will move to the Ringold,
parish soon.
Robert Burge, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Clyde Burge has been hav

his hand. He stayed with his aunt
