Mrs. Wayne Smith, who was one i
of those in charge of 4-H entries
in b ane economics at the Holt
Co. Fair, reports a total of 874
entries in that field alone. It is
the must ever recorded.
Mr and Mrs. Paul Starkey and
family of Albion attended the
Fair and visited the George and
Don Cameron families on Wednes
day of last week.

William A. Alderson of Boise,
Ida arrived at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. T. E. Alderson on Sun
day, August 14th and on Tues
day morning they accompanied
Mrs. Margie Sammons to Tilden
to attend the funeral of Guy Al
derson. Others from away who
came to attend tile funeral were i
a sister, Ruth Alderson of El j
Paso, Tex.; sons, Robert and
Thomas R. (known as “Bud” by
friends here and at Amelia), and
daughter, Adrienne (Mrs. Robert
Williams) and son, Bobby of Den
ver. Mrs. Pearl Alderson and son
Verne and wife, cousins, came
from Lincoln.
On Thursday morning Ruth Al
derson, Bud and Win. Alderson
and Mrs. Adrienne Williams and
son, Bobby, stopped at the T. E.
Alderson home for breakfast be
fore leaving for their homes at
various points in the South and
West.

The annual Filsinger reunion
was held Sunday, Aug 14 in River
side Park in Neligh. There were
90 members and 12 visitors pre
sent. Thirteen births, five marria
ges and one death were recorded.
Mrs. Russell Anderson was pre
sented a gift for keeping the re
cord books. A picnic dinner was
held at noon. Mrs. Ellen Filsinger
was the oldest member present,
and M. Good was the youngest.
Plans were made to meet again
the second Sunday in August of
1961. Present were Mrs. Isabel
Filsinger and Lawrence, Mr. and
Mrs. Edqard Filsinger, Mrs. Vi
olet Thompson, Mr. and Mrs.
Gene Lundqaist and Billy, Mr.
and Mrs. Vernon Good and fam
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Don Tingle
and girls, all of Neligh, Mr. and
