Miss Arlyce Simmons and Fredrich Grothe were married July 28 at l^ike Andes, S. D., in a 3:15 p.m. ceremony. The Rev. Alvin J. Albert of the First Lutheran church at I^ake Andes officiated Mr. and Mrs. Grothe are graduates of the Atkinson high school. They are at home on a farm five miles west and two miles north of O'Neill. Lois Saltz Merle Sehi Exchange Vows Lois A. Saltz of Page and Merle J. Sehi of Clearwater were mar ried Thursday, Augast 4 at St. John’s Catholic church in Clear water. The Rev. Francis Kubart officiated at the 10:30 a.m. nup tial mass. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Saltz of p.ge. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sehi of Clearwater are the parents of the bridegroom. Miss Sharon Krapp of Ewing sang, "On This Day,’’ "Jesus My Lord, My God” and "Jesus Tnou Art Coming.” She also sang, "Ave Maria” accompanied by Jer ry Jeiines and (Bill Bauer. Miss Lois Kaczor of Ewing, cousin of the bridegroom, played the or gan. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a f.oor length gown of silk or ganza over taffeta. The mold ed bodice featured short sleeves and a portrait neckline. The bouf fant skirt trimmed with alecon lace motifs fell into « chapel tram, x'ne veil ol French illu sion was caught in a crown of peails, sequins and orange blos soms. Sna carried a white orchid on a prayer book with stephanotis streamers. Miss Kathy Sehi of Clearwater, sia.er of the bridegroom, was the maid of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Sehi have attend ed Norfolk Junior college and Wayne State Teachers college and are employed as teachers. The bride wore a navy blue sheath dress with white acces sories for traveling. Following a wedding trip to Minnesota the couple will be at home in Ewing. Kenneth Knaua of Gering, bro ther of the bridegroom, was the best man. Tom Fegler was the groomsman. Ushers were Gary Knaub and Dean Knaub, brothers of the bridegroom. The bride’s mother chose a pink dress with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. The bridegroom’s mother wore a beige lace sheath dress with brown accessories and a yellow carnation corsage. A reception was held at the Roosevelt Grade school following the ceremony. Mrs. Don Urich of Gering and Mrs. A1 Schmidt of Greeley, Colo, cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. Fred Keller poured the coffee and Mrs. Juke Lehman served the punch. Mrs. Fred Bevins of Minatare was the hostess for the reception assisted by Mrs. Everett PaLser and Mrs. Ted Sheets. Mrs. Kenneth Knaub registered the gjests. Mariann Schnell, Jan et Duyck, Erma Stafford were in charge of the gifts. The bride attended Neligh High school and Seottshluff college. She is employed as a teacher at Scottsbluff. The bridegroom at tended the Scottsbluff High school and is employed at Scottsbluff. The couple will be at home at Gering following a wedding trip to Denver and Colorado Springs. Helen Jean Sire Philip C. Fisher Marry In Butte Miss Helen Jean Sire of Butte became the bride of Philip C. Fisher in a double ring ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12 at the Butte Community Bible church. The Rev. William Mulford of Co zad officiated at the ceremony as sisted by the Rev. George Muz zey of Butte. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sire of Butte are the parents of the bride and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fisher of Spencer. Miss Mary Lou Craig of Huron, S. D. sang accompanied by Mrs. C. J. Tomek at the organ. The br.ide was given in mar riage by her father. She wore a gown ol organdy over taffeta. The bodice had short puffed sleeves. The bouffant skirt featured a deep embroidered border. Her should erlength veil was held by a pill box with seed pearl embroidery. She carried a bouquet ol red ros es on a white Bmle. Ihe bride wore a pearl pendant, a gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Richard Johnson of Shel dahl, la., sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a willow green street length dress of organza over taffeta. It fea tured a scalloped neckline and short sleeves. Miss Margaret Fisher of Spen cer, sister of the (bridegroom, was the bridesmaid. She wore a copper colored organza over taf feta dress similar to that of the maid of honor. The bridegroom graduated from the Clearwater high school and attended the Nor folk Junior college and Wayne State Teachers college. He will teach in the Obert Consolidated high school. Mrs. Brandit attended school at Orchard and graduated from the Neligh high school. The bride groom is also a graduate of the Neligh High school. Sick and Injured O’NEILL—Gary Wettlaufer was a Wednesday to Saturday visitor in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wettlaufer while his mother, Mrs. Gerald Wettlaufer was at the bedside of hen 84 year old father Will Shra der of Ewing who submitted to surgery last week for the remov al of a kidney at St. Joseph’s Mercy hospital at Sioux City. He is making satisfactory recovery . . .Mrs. Gerald McDermott of Ainsworth is recuperating from a trip to an Omaha hospital in the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Tib betts. Mrs. McDermott had sur gery three years ago for a heart condition and returned for treat ment for a slight irregularity with prescribed rest treatment. PAGE—William Sorensen had the misfortune of having his hand injured in a haler accident. He is hospitalized. VENUS—Eleven year old Steve Mills underwent a skin grafting operation Wednesday.
