Amelia News By .MUm Florence Lindsey Clemens Family Hold Reunion At O'Neill Park The Clemens family held a re union at the O'Neill park Sunday Those present were Mr and Mrs. Levi Clemens. Mr and Mrs Mil ton Clemens, Janette and Don ald, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Clemens and six children of Ransonville, N Y., Mr and Mrs Clifford Clem ens and family, Mr and Mrs. Leonard Pribil and family, Mr. and Mrs Harold Humrich of O’ Neill and Mr and Mrs. Charles Soderstien of Clearwater Mrs. B. W Waldo accompan ied her daughter, Mrs. Ken Wer ner of Chambers, to Omaha Fri day, where they spent the week end with Mrs. Wemer's daughter, Connie. Connie is a Frontier Air line stewardess, with headquar ters in Omaha and was on a four day release Mrs. Floyd Adams took her son Don, to Omaha Friday where he joined the group of teachers on their tour oy bus through the southern states. They were ac companied by Misses Cleta and Demaris Murry and Mrs Teresa Ernst of O’Neill Mrs. Adams and Demaris returned home that eve ning. Lewie Nissen of Lincoln came Tuesday to visit a few days with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Frank Pierce. Mrs Lindsey and Florence were O’Neill callers Saturday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Enbody and family, who have been visiting his sisters, Mrs. Tommie Doolit tle, Mrs. Jim Bilstien, Mrs. El don Ballagh and their families, left Monday for their home in Centralia, Wash. Enroute home they will visit another sister, Mrs. Jack (Mabel) Eggelston at Douglas, Wyo. George Chapman and daughter Carol of Linton, N.D. came Mon day to get his mother, Mrs. George Withers, and take her to his home for a visit. She will al so visit in the home of her daugh ter-in-law, Mrs. Janie (Douglas) Chapman and family at Mobridge, S. D. She expects to be gone un til Oct. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd (Doc) Clem ens and family left Monday for Denver Colo. They had been vis iting their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Levi Clemens and Mr. and Mrs Frank Jungman and other rel atives the past two weeks. The family had been living in Nnw York state but were looking for a new location. Doc stated they v ’’Id settle wherever he was offered the best job. They left th'd' tr^ile’- h'me at St. Paul while visiting here. Their oldest son. Fritz, thought he mieht stay with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Clemens. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rees, Ju di and John Taylor, Charlie Carr and Darla Waxk> were O'Neill caller* Thursday Mr and Mrs. Ivan Roth and family, uf Valentine visited Sun day at the Marvin Doolittle home. Little Cindy Roth is recovering nicely from her injury which she received when she fell from a swmg, Mrs. Emmett Carr went to Bur well Sunday evening to visit her friend, Mrs. George Fleming, the former Dorothy Ballagh. The Flemings came for her Sunday evening and took her home Mon day evening. Mr and Mrs, Gene Thompson, Ronnie, Kay. and Sheml were dinner guests Sunday at Mr. and Mrs, George Fullertons. Mrs. Lee Gilman and Mrs. George Fullerton were O’Neill j shoppers Thursday, Mr, and Mrs George Fullerton visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs Robert Fullerton, in Atkinson Sunday evening. Rev. O'Donnell was a dinner guest Sunday of Mr and Mrs August Pospichal. They aH at- ( tended the smorgasbord in Em mett Sunday evening. A new carpet was laid in the altar section at the Catholic church this week. Roger and Darla Waldo, Judi and John Taylor attended the Presbyterian youth fellowship par ty Sunday evening in O'Neill as guests of the Martha church group They enjoyed a swimming , party and hmch at the park. The Leonard Svatos, Orville j Svatos and Anton Svatos hayed for Frank Pierce last week. Mr and Mrs. Elmer Coolidge went to 0‘Neill Friday and vis ited the Calvin Coolidge family. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Peterson attended the smorgasbord in Em mett Sunday evening. Later they were guests at the Gus Robertson home in Atkinson, at a cook-out. Mr and Mrs. Art Doolittle, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Adair, Jerry and Diane, and Dale Doolittle were also guests at the Robertsons. Mr and Mrs. Charles Coolidge ana Kennem ana sieve i_ocnran were Sunday evening guests of Elmer Coolidge. Mr. and Mrs Arthur Leach and family of Omaha were weekend guests at Edgar Jungmans. Mr and Mrs. Ted Keeney, Ted die and Gary visited in Amelia Wednesday. They left for their home at Bellaire, Tex. on Friday Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mench of Phoenix. Ariz., visited her sis ter, Mrs. Edgar Jungman, last week. They all attended the 25th wedding anniversary in Atkinson on Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Bill MeCallister. Mrs. Mench is the former Alma Prussa, and Mrs. MeCallister is the former Lela Prussa, sisters of Mrs. Jungman. Mrs. Joe Stoecker went to Val entine by bus on Monday where she will join her daughter-in-law. Mrs Nell Stoecke-, enroute to Oekland, Calif. Neil Stoecker is on duty with the U. S. 7th Fleet in the western Pacific, and ex pects to be back on shore duty soon Their home is in Oakland, Calif. Miss Florence Lindsey and mo ther. were supper guests Sunday with Mrs. Julia White at her home in Atkinson. They also called on Mrs. Rosa Sne'son and Mr. and Mrs. Charles McMillen. Mrs. Ola Ermer of Chambers spent a few days with her cou sins, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cool idge. Mrs. Edith Andersen visited at the Ernest Johnstons Sunday af ternoon. Mrs. Gertie Adair spent Sun day at the Tommie Doolittle home. Mrs, Robert Leder, sr., of At kinson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Le der, jr., and Valerie cf Milwau kee. Wis.. visited the Lindseys and other Amelia friends Tuesday of last week. Mrs. Leder, sr. was the telephone operator in Amelia some years ago. Mrs. Glenn White, Myrtle and Venita, and Grandpa H. S. White were supper guests Thursday eve ning at Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Bar netts Glenn White was attending the Free Methodist annual church conference at Ansley.
