LaVeena Rae Strong Robert Wheeler Wed Wednesday in O'Neill Miss LaVeena luie Strong, daughter of Mr and Mrs. William A Strong of O’Neill, and Robert Junior Wheeler, son of Clarence Wheeler ot Winner, S. L>., and Mrs. Edward Kirkpatrick of Spencer, were married Wednesday, June 22, at the First Methodist church in O’Neill. The Rev. Glenn Kennicott officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. The bride appeared in a white nylon ballerina gown trimmed with blue. She carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations. Mrs. Carlyle D. Strong of O’ Neill, sister-in-law of the bride, wore a white gown trimmed with green. Carlyle D. Strong, brother of the bride, was the best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride attended the O’Neill high school. The O’Neill high and Spencer high schools were at tended by the bridegroom. Following a trip to the Black Hills the couple will be at home at Beemer. Betty Ann Hembek Cecil Mashino Married Wednesday Miss Betty Ann Hambek of Sjiencer became the bride of Cecil Mashino of Spencer in a double ring ceremony at the Methodist church at Spencer. The Rev. Har old Jensen performed the 7:30 p. m. ceremony Wednesday, June 15. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hambek of Spencer and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clay Mashino of Lynch. Mrs. lea uison sang, l uove You Truly,’’ and ‘‘The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied by Mrs. P. O. Friedrich. The church was decorated with bouquets of pink carnations and pink and white peonies. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a gown of chantilly lace fashioned with a skirt of scalloped tiers. The chapel length veil was caught in a crown of pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses. Mrs. John Hood of Milwaukie, Ore., sister of the bride, was ma tron of honor. She wore a pink for mal length gown of net and a rhine stone headpiece. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations. Charles Mashino, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Martin Jehorek of Lynch and Charles Mashino ushered. Dawn Black of Spencer was the flower girl and Gary Boska of Spencer, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. A reception was held in the church parlors for seventy guests. Mrs. George Kopecky and Mrs. Dennis Kinney served. Mrs. Jim Pokorny, Mrs. Hoy Nemec and Mrs. Emil Klasna assisted. Uhlir, son of Mr. and Mrs Otto Uhlir of Verdigre, were married in a cere mony Sunday, June 19 at St. Paul’s I-utheran church at Venus. The Rev Walter Seefeldt performed the 6:30 p m, ceremony. Burnell Von Soggern of Orch ard sang the wedding music ac companied by Mrs. Frank E. Pierce of Orchard. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle fas hioned with a molded lace bodice with long tapered sleeves. Sequin and pearl embroidery edged the sabrina neckline. The bouffant sweep length skirt of tulle fe atured appkqued lace motif on the skirt front and a cas cade of scalloped lace ruffled in back Her veil of silk illusion was attached to a tricorn lace shell with pearl trim The Undo carried a bouquet of one large cattleya orchid surround ed by wanda orchids and lillies of the valley. Mrs. Wayne Mattison of Platte, S. IX, was matron of honor She wore an orchid acetate taffeta street length dress with an over skirt of matching net and a white headpiece. She carried a basket of yellow’ carnations. Miss Annette Uhlir of O'Neill, cousin of the bridegroom, wras bridesmaid. She wore a mint green dress identical to the matron of honor’s gown. She also carried a basket of yellow carnations. Darla Jean Mattison of Platte, S IX, niece of the Iride, was the flower girl. Candlelight! rs were Duane Mlady and Robert Sukup of Verdigre. Michael Kotrous of Oroa has was the ringbearer. Neil Uhlir, brother of the bride groom, was the best man. Douglas Miller, brother of the bride was the groomsman. Mrs. F Kinnis n. Mrs. Art Von Seggern and Mrs. Laverne Held. Miss Ruth Vonasek, Miss Jo El len Famik and Miss Betty Seggern w re in charge of the gift table. Miss Janet Montgomery, Miss Diana Mott, Miss Karen Kotrous, Miss Barbara Boelter and Miss Virginia Sukup were waitresses The bride is a graduate ot Vcr» digt>‘ high school and attended Wgyne State Teacher s college She taught school in district IS. The bridegroom graduated from Ver d gr< high school and is a member of the National Guard at O'Neill. He is a rancher and farmer. Follow ing a wedding trip to the Black Hills the couple will be at home on a farm northwest of Ver digre. Getha Vetter Roger Bejot Wed At Bassett Miss Getha J. Vetter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Vetter of Bassett and Roger Bejot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Bejot of Long Pine were united in marriage in a 2:30 pm. ceremony on Sunday, June i» at the Assembly of tkxl church in Bassett Kt \ J M Peck of Ainsworth officiated at die double ring ceremony. The altar was de corated with bouquets of pink and white gladioli and chrysanthemums Miss Maureen Vetter, cousin of the bride, was the saloist accom panied by Mrs. Carl Hatlgrimson of Newport. She wore a double strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. The bride carried an orchid on a white Bible. Miss Lila Mae Jones of Long Pine, cousin of the bridegroom, was the maid of honor. A reception was held in the church parka's. Mrs. Yngol Haller, aunt of the bride, cut and served the bride’s cake. Mrs. Merle Jones of Long Pine, aunt of the bride groom, cut and served the bride groom's cake, Mrs. Jack Vetter, the brute’s sister-in-law, and Mrs. Arnold Be jot of Ling Pine, sister in-law of the bridegroom, poured. The hrido is a 1969 graduate of UiK-k County High school and has Ivon employed as receptionist at the Ilassett hospital.
