It was decided to have a party for the 14 ladies that clean up the hall before the county meeting. It wiU be given by the rest of the members. l'ncre was election of officers with Mrs. Otto Matschullat being elected president, Mrs. Milo Lan dreth,, vice-president; Mrs. William Scheinost, 2nd vice-president; Mrs. Soren Sorensen sr., secretary; Miss Lura Grass, treasurer; Mrs. Lloyd Cork, sgt at arms; Mrs, Calvin Harvey, color bearer; Mrs. Rob ert Harvey, Chaplain; Mrs. R. D Copes, historian; and Mrs. Ben Asher, news reporter. The officers were installed by Mrs. R. D. Copes. Mrs. Matschullat appointed Mes dames L. G. Summers, Duane Su kup, and George Wettiaufer to be on the membership committee. Mrs. Floyd Frahm was appointed poppy chairman and the executive committee consists of pres., 1st and 2nd vice pres., sec., treas., and two appointed members who are Mrs Anton Nissen and Mrs. Tony Mudloff Special fund prize was won by Mrs. Otto Mattschul lat and Mi&s Lura Grass won the dexir prize. Serving committee in cluded Mrs Gerald Wettiaufer, Mrs. Alvin Heese and Mrs. Floyd Frahm. Mrs. Stella Russell, accompan ied Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Spann of Atkinson to Polk where they were all Saturday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lampshire. On Sunday the Lampshire, Spanns and Mrs. Russell went to Lin coln where they met Mr and Mrs. Chas Russell and Debbie and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson of Lincoln. They all attended the Lyon’s fam ily reunion. Mrs. Russell was the former Stella Lyons. Twelve members of the Help-U club were present for a noon day dinner at the William Buxton home on Wednesday. The ladies did some needlework for Mrs. Buxton. On Wednesday afternoon the members of the Get-To-Gether club held a shower at the home of Mrs. Walter Sojka in honor of her son and his bride, Dr. and Mrs. Nicholas Sojka. Dr. Sojka showed slides of his wedding and the trip they took. The club presented them with a gift and served lunch. Dr. Sojka, who is a veterinary will take up practice in Iowa, East Side Komtry Klub met on Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Norman Trowbridge as hostess. There were nine members and one guest, Mrs. Bud Ickes of Nampa, Ida. Roll call was answered by naming some event or thing you would like to have changed in your life. Mr. and Mrs. William Hock and family enroate to Washington D.C. stopped in Page to visit friends here on Thursday. Mr. Hock has received a scholarship and will at tend the American university for the summer. He had been teach ing at Aberdeen, Wash, the past year and will return there in the fall.
