Mrs. Archie Johnston and Bar bara visited Thursday at the Will Shrader home. Mrs. Lorraine Montgomery, Con nie and Linda visited Saturday af ternoon at the George Montgomery home. The Seek and Share Project Club met Tuesday evening with Mrs John Napier. Mrs. Wendell Switzer served lunch and Mrs. Don Larson gave lesson on “How to Under stand Your Child.” Guests last Sunday at the John Napier home were the Walter Don ohue and Jerry Cuddy families of O'Neill. Estel Gunter and Ida left Friday afternoon from Columbus for their home near Hoquram, Wash., after spending the past week visiting rel atives and friends. Altha Lou Miller and David Bosell of Seattle, Wash., will be married Thursday evening, June 23 in the Free Methodist church. Altha Lou is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller. Newport News Hv Mrs. Oliver Gllf A two week vacation school at Newport and Long Pine was cun ! eluded Sunday, June 19th, with six children making their first com rnumon in St. Michael's Catholic church at Newport. First commun icants were: Richard Stec, Cath arine Ruder, Gary Babi, Edna Vog el, Norma Young anti William Young. Angels were Debra Kaup i and Renee Vogel and altar boys were Michael Clark and Steve Ru I der. The sixty-two children attended both schools. Sister Mary Idecle and Sister Mary Jane from Sis ters of Mercy convent of Omaha were the teachers. A first communion breakfast was served by St. Michael’s altar so ciety in the Newport city hall Sun day following mass, i Mr. and Mrs. Everett White of Wynona, Okla., came Saturday to attend the Pickenpaugh family re union held Saturday and Sunday in Newport and were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Gilg. They called on old neighbors and friends before leaving Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Reno Gordon and Carolyn went to Omaha Tuesday evening to meet their son, Jerry who has just returned home from spending 24 months in Germany in the armed forces.
