Floyd Johnson The Don Hynes family reports that the little deserted fawn they found a year ago and took home to feed and care for has grown in to a full-sized doe and has develop ed a very picky appetite. With all the lush vegetation everywhere she seems to prefer tomato plants, beans, radishes, etc., inside the garden fence. The fence is no obstacle to those fleet footed animals. She is still very fond of her playmates, Shelley and Lynda, joining them when they’re outside playing or standing at the door when they’re inside. Mrs. Hynes says she doesn’t like working in the garden anyway. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson and Linda joined the John Schultz family at supper Sunday. (Last Weeks News) Missed our little chat the past two weeks. My excuse—just too many irons in the fire. But its wonderful spring weather, with an occasional shower, which of course has hampered com planting con siderably. The first cutting of al falfa is fairly beckoning for the hay crew to move in. The problem will be, to get it cured ready for the stack. The dew every night is almost equivalent to a shower. Neverthless, numerous mowing machines are tuned up and ready to tackle the job of this abundant crop. In the meantime most all the men of the neighborhood have taken time out, beginning last week to build the new telephone line, even working through the rain.
