Bible School Begins Vacation Bible School begins Monday, May 23 for the children of the parish of St. Peter’s church and will continue for two weeks. Memorial Program Many out of town guests of friends and relatives in Ewing were included in the crowd, larger than usual, at the Memorial Day services held Monday morning at the Ewing public school auditorium. Rev. W. W. Elliot delivered the morning address. The invocation was given by Dr. William H. Ross and the benediction by Rev. P. F Burke. Sharon Johnston sang “Each Step I Take," with Mrs Wilbur Bennett, pianist. “America My Home" was a vocal solo by 'Doug las Shrader with his sister. Sandra, accompanist. A salute was given by the firing squad of the Amer ican Legion Sanders Post 214. Taps were sounded by Bennie Tay lor. The same service was conducted at the Ewing cemetery at the grave of the unknown soldier with Glenda Napier placing the wreath. Flags were placed at the graves of all veterans in both cemeteries by Jay Butler and Ernest Pierson. Memorial wreaths were placed on the graves of deceased Auxiliary members by Mrs. R. H. Harris and Mrs. Floyd Lee. Legion members participating in the services were Bob Eppenbach, commander; R. H. Shain, Leo Hawk, James Boies, Louis Hanna, Alfred Napier and Wayne Shrader. Mrs. C. C.
