schedule for the next few days.
On Sunday, May 15th will be

On Tuesday evening May, 17th,
sixteen young people will receive
their high school diplomas. Jeanne
Schnable, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Schnable is valedictorian
of the class and Dianne Her ley.

Herley is salutatorian.
Mr. and Mrs Stanley Wood and
Mary Alice of Weeping Water
spent the weekend with Mrs.
Wood's father, William Luben and
other relatives.
The river road north of town is
again open to traffic, having been
opened late Friday afternoon.
Relatives received word here
Sunday morning of the death in
California of 52 year old Earl Seh
lecht. Earl was the oldest son of
the late Ernie Schleeht. His death
resulted from a heart attack. He
is survived by his wife, Hilda;
two daughters; his mother, Nora
Schleeht; two brothers, Darrol and
Leonard and one grandchild.
The annual junior-senior banquet
was held Tuesday evening, May
10th in St. Theresa's Parish hall.
The theme, “Rhapsody In Star
Dust” made a very attractive
room . Speeches were given by
Ricky Wiegand, Charles Kirchner,
Jeannie Schnable and Diane Her
ley. Supt. George Flaascheon al
so spoke to the group.

condemmed tree that stood in the
yard of Carrie Borg in O'Neill.
Mr. Virgil Hubby, Lloyd, Delbert
and Addie Rouse arrived on the
scene. They called Ray Lawrence,
the tree was soon removed.
Delbert, Lloyd and Addie re
mained for dinner Monday, May 9
and Mrs. Deliiert Rouse and boys
called in the afternoon.
