Harmon Club Notes St. Patrick’* .Altar Society Over 100 ladies attended Thurs day's meeting of St Patrick's Al tar Society at St. Mary’s Gym. St. Monica’s Guild members were in charge with Mrs. Carrol McKay chairman. The women were urged to at tend the Diosecean council of Cath olic Women in Atkinson on May 13. Father O’Sullivan spoke to the group tor the program. Entertainment was provided by Mary Lou Davis, Carol Johnson, Tom Higgins and Doug Spittler singing several musical selections accompanied by Sister Michael. The May 19 meeting will be un der St. Aim’s Guild with Mrs. James McDonald chairman. T. P. Club— The T P. Club met at the home of Mrs Ben Miller April 26th, with eight member and one visitor, Mrs. Bob Tomlinson spresent The afternoon was spent doing needle work and playing bingo. The door prize was won by Mrs Nels lonquist and also a card and hankie shower was presented to Mrs. Nels Linquist for her 25*h wedding anniversary. At the close of the meeting a lunch was served by Mrs. Ben Miller. The next meeting will be May 24th at the home of Mrs. Nels Unquist. Wal ter Wade, 8 pounds 14 ounces. April 25. CANNING- Mr and Mrs Rich ard Canning of Omaha, daughter, Rhonda Sue, 7 pounds 3 ounces. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Thorell of Bristow and Mrs. Canning of Wayne are the grandparents. Mrs. Clyde Beckner of Bristow is the great grandmother. The mother is the former Connie Thorell of Bris tow. SUFFICOOL—Mr. and Mrs. Art Sufficool of Verdigre, son, 6 poun *s q ounces, May 1, Antelope Memorial hospital. Mt .and Mrs. Clarence Finch sr. are the maternal grand parents. Sick and Injured MEEK R. Worth, the seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Worth of Omaha fell from his tricycle on Wednesday, Apr. 27 and broke his arm in two places. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lindberg and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Worth . . . Jerry Schmitz is j improving and expects to be re leased from the hospital soon. He has been fitted for a brace which he will wear for a time. — . M RIVERSIDE Kent Fry, young est son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fry has the measles. VENUS La Rue Johnson of Roy-! al was injured April 24 when the horse he was riding fell with him. , He was taking part in a buffalo | hunt northeast of Verdigre. He was taken to the Lundberg Memorial hospital at Creighton by Max Le Masters and Franklin Uhlir. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Johnson Mr. Uhlir visited him on Monday. NAPER Mrs. Gust Wetzler was brought home on Sunday from the Burke hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Engelhart brought her home . . . Mrs. Etta Bennett was taken to the Sacred Heart hospital in Lynch on April 27. BRISTOW -Debbie Bessert re ceived burns on her left hand Tues day morning, Apr. 26 at the Clay Mnihino home where her mother, Mrs. Beryle Bessert was helping plant garden. She was burned on a garden tractor plow. DEI/)IT—Bill Day underwent surgery in Omaha on April 25 at the Methodist hospital. His condi tion is satisfactory . . . Mrs. E. L. Sisson accompanied Mrs. Melvin Rexin to St. Edward on Saturday where they were overnight guests of Mrs. Echo Fisher. On Sunday they all went, to Lincoln to visit j Mrs. Otto Reimer, who has been hospitalized with a broken hip. She was to leave the hospital on Sat urday. STUART Wynn Hipke. son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hipke re ceived burns about his face and hands on Tuesday, April 26 . . . Mr and Mrs John Shild visited Ray Carlisle at the hospital in Omaha on April 24. Also Mrs. Cal lista Weichman at the University hospital. EWING—Alex Thramer, owner of the Gamble store in Ewing is a patient at the Antelope Memoral hospital in Neligh suffering from a severe cold. CLEARWATER—Andrew Thiele, farmer south at town, suffered a sprain to his foot Saturday evening when he jumped off his tractor. The foot was twisted in such a way that the ligaments were tom, and considerable swell ing followed. He will be forced to stay off the foot until the swelling goes down enough so it may be placed in a cast . . . Joe Goscha, farmer north of town, suffered severe burns Friday when his clothing ignited while he was light ing his fire to prepare supper His brother, Lawrence with whom he lives heard his shouts and ran to his aid. They extinguished the flames from his clothing but not until he suffered painful burns. He is in the Antelope Memorial hos pital . . . Julie, two years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Middleton suffered a sprained wrist Thursday evening while playing in ; her home. She was taken to the Tilden hospital for x-rays and treatment. AMELIA Anita White was ill several days last week and not able to attend school . . . John Zinkon was admitted to the Atkinson hos pital Wednesday, April 27 He is suffering with severe bums on his leg received when he was helping neighbors bum weeds from their garden lot. It is probable he will be in the hospital for some time . . Mrs. John Ceams of Scotts bluff submitted to major surgery' Friday evening at the Atkinson Memorial hospital. Mrs. Ceams is the former Arlene Fryrear. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. William Frye* ear of Amelia. The Ceams have been here to help her parents with the farm work as Mr. Fryrear has not been very well . . . Don Cle mens, son of Mr and Mrs. Milton Clemens, became ill at school Fri day and was taken to the hospital. He was able to go back to school Monday. He is a freshman in At kinson high school . . . Mr. and Mrs. Don Ceams and daughter, Tamela Sue of Oieyenne, Wyo.. came Sunday morning, Apr. 25 to see Don's mother.
