Mrs. John Steinberg, who is this year's sec retary of the Alumnae association, was a guest and discussed the menu with the group. Fourteen members were present. Tuesday dinner, Apr. 5 guests of Mrs. Hester Edminsten were Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Copes and Mrs. Frieda Asher. Because of the bad roads Susan, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Harold Freemeyer had been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stewart. Six members were present at the Cordes Walker home when the A. O. W. L. club met there on Tuesday evening, Apr. 5. Loren Parks was transferred from Brady to Overton. He expects to be home over the weekend to cele brate his 21st birthday. Clair Parks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Parks of Page graduated from the Idaho State Barber college at Boise, Idaho He is a graduate of Page high school with the class of 1959. After spending some time at Page he left for Aberdeen, Idaho where he will apprentice for 18 months. District 39 held an unscheduled Wildlife club meeting on April 6th The purpose was to elect new of ficers. Hiey are as follows Con- 1 .. Mr. and Mrs Orville Kemper were Thursday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Buxton. Dairy division of the 4-H Eagle Hustlers met on Thursday evening at the Legion Club. Meeting was called to order by the president, Marikn Luebcke, Roll call was answered toy the 17 members pre sent by naming "what their pro ject is”. Lesson was given by Jerome and John Crumly and Roy van Ragland. They discussed re moving horns and teaching calves to lead. There was group singing with Virgie Sojka accompamng them on the piano. Lunch was served by Mrs Crumly and Mrs Ragland. R. N. A. Kensington met cm Wednesday night at the IOOF hall with 16 present. Plans were made to present 50 year pins to charter members It will be held on the next regular meeting which will be on April 20th. The serving committee was Mrs. I. O. Wood and Mrs. Cliff Leach. Fourteen ladies were present at the home erf Mrs. Kenneth Heiss when she held a party on Thurs day afternoon. Mrs. William Bux ton won the door prize and ev ery lady present received a little favor. The Jnmor Audubon club met at District 23 on Friday, April the 8th The meeting was called to order by president, Linda Thomp son. Roll call was answered by naming a flower and describing it. This meetng was scheduled to be held the first of April but be cause of the poor weather was postponed Mrs. Prill asked the group questions on flowers. An executive meeting of the A.L.A. was held on Friday after noon at Cork’s Cafe to discuss plans for Memorial Day. The com mittee consisted of Mrs. Otto Mats chullat, Mrs Calvin Harvey, Mrs. William Scheinost, Mrs. Milo Lan dreth. Mass Lura Grass and Mrs Lloyd Cork, Mrs. Ben Asher, chairman of the Mem orial Day program, was also pre sent. On Thursday morning at 10 a m. the last lesson on "Luke’s Por trait of Christ" was held with Mrs. Raymond Heiss as the leader. It was followed by a luncheon with 14 present Ln the afternoon the regular meeting of the W.S.C.S. was held with Mrs. Raymond Heiss having the devotions and lesson. The lesson was given in a form of a panel discussion with Mes dames Edgar Stauffer, Harold Heiss and Elmer Trowbridge par ticipating. The proceeds from the Eagle Hustlers bake sale, which was held at the Cafe on Saturday afternoon was around $22.00 which will be sent to the Camp Halsey fund. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Parks went to Lincoln on Saturday to visit Mr. and Mrs.' Paul Robinson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bartak and children came over from Om aha to visit with them. Mrs. Em ma Canady accompanied the Parks to Lincoln where she will stay with heir granddaughter, Miss Thelma Summers. Dan Troshynski and George Pon gratz of O’Neill went to Alliance on Wednesday to bring Mrs. Tro shynski home. She had spent a week with her daughter and fam dy. Mr. and Mrs. William Sorensen and Debbie were also supper guests as they stopped there on their way home from Ainsworth where they had visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marquette Kennedy.
