Presently at Fort Carson, Colo rado, the new recruit will be as signed to an Army Training Cen ter for his eight weeks of basic instruction before beginning his travel to Europe. Jack R. Hartman, son of Mrs. Mary Hartman, Rout e 1, Page, Neb., recently was promoted to specialist four in Germany, where he is a member of the 18th Ord nance Company. Specialist Hartman is assigned j to the company in Karlsruhe. He entered the Army in May 1950 and arrived overseas, on this tour of duty, in December 1958. The 36-year-oki soldier, first ser geant in the infantry's Company A in Heilbronn, entered the Army in 1947 and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colo., before arriving ov erseas in January 1958 on this tour of duty. Cherry Peach Dessert (Six servings) 1 package cherry-flavored gelatin i cup hot water 1 cup peach sirup 2 egg yolks 1 3 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups homogenized milk 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin 1 No, 303 can sliced peaches, drained 2 egg whites, beaten stiff 2 tablespoons sugar Dissolve cherry-flavored gelatin in hot water. Add peach sirup. Pour 1 cup gelatin into a one guart mold. Chill until slightly thickened Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar and salt. Stir in I cups milk. Cook over boiling water until mixture coats a spoon. Soften unflavored gelatin in remaining 14 cup milk for 5 minutes. Dissolve in hot cus tard mixture. Chill until slightly thickened.
