Ewing News By Mrs. Harold Harris Mr* I>, A. Hendon of Phoenix, An/ , arrived in Ewing on Sunday to spend some time at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. R. B, Krachie ami her sister and hus band, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Jef feries. The Try and Do extension club met Thursday evening, March 31, at the home of Mr* Gene Zimmer- j man Roll call was answered with a favorite Easter color or a recipe. Plans are being made to show' a film on cancer for the public in conjuction with cancer month. After some discussion suggestions on needed improvements for the Ewing community were made which will be sent to Neil J. Christ enson, supervisor of the Depart ment of Community Serv ice df the University of Nebraska. Mr. Christenson requested suggestions by extension clubs be sent to him to present before the Commercial Club when he meets with the group in Ewing, April 21. Mrs. Floyd Butterfield gave a study lesson on "Hats Accessories for Dress." The hostess served a lunch to the twelve members and one guest, Mrs. Thomas Hutton, who were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Sehroeder had as their dinner guests on Sun day her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mlnarik and family. Mr. and Mrs. on Mackel of Elgin were afternoon callers. Mrs. Jerry Tomjack is the offici al census taker for the Ewing com munity. She was busy on April 1 calling the residents of Ewing. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Muff of Spencer, Mardie and Steve Cuddy of O'Neill and Mrs. Loraine Wright of Ewing were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferies. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cuddy and Carmen and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Morrow, al! of O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferies visited on Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Maben and Mrs. Emma Wulf. Mrs, Wilma Daniels, Mrs. George Jefferies and Mrs. Victor Cram transacted business in O’Neill on Wednesday. Palm Sunday services at the United Presbyteriah church will in clude the baptism of infants and the Lord’s Supper during the morn ing worship hour. Wauneta and Leon Wragge visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Darlene Bowling and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shrader and family and Miss Ina Bennett went to Orchard on Sunday to visit at the home of Mrs. Flora Young.
