St. Patrick's Altar Society
About 90 members of St. Patrick’s
Altar Society met last Thursday
for their regular meeting with St.
Helen’s Guild in charge and Mrs.
Orville Sindelar chairman.
Msgr Timothy O'Sulliean spoke
to the group and thanked them for
their part in the February 20 re
ception. The guild chairman vol
unteered to lie on the committee for
the local chapter of the NCCW.
The April 21 meeting will be
under St. Monica’s Guild.
Rebekah
Rebekah I»dge will meet Friday
night for their annual Friendship
meeting. Special guest will be the
assembly warden and members of
neighboring Rebekah Ixadges have

Brunch for Mrs. Arnold
Mrs. Helmut Arnold was honor
ed at a Wednesday morning brunch
and a surprise hanky shower by a
group of friends.
The Arnold family is leaving
O’Neill to make their home in
Lincoln about the first of May.
They have a daughter, Gretchen
and two sons Michael and Martin.
Mr. Arnold is employed by the
State Highway department as an
engineer.

the Odd Fellows Hall with Mrs.

in charge. The deputy president,

New officers were elected and

March 23 where he entered the
veterans hospital.
STUART—Don Engler entered
St. Francis hospital at Grand Is
land on Tuesday, Mar. 22 for
treatment.
ATKINSON—Mrs. A. E. Hewett
went to Sioux City Sunday where
she entered the Lutheran hospital
for medical attention.
CHAMBERS—Willier Ritterbush
injured his foot last week when
he dropped an oil barrel. . iLloyd
Hoerle dropped a cable-rack tongue
on his foot injuring it.
AMELIA—Mrs. Bertha Sammons
was able to return home Saturday
after being confined to the Atkin
son Memorial hospital since Mon
day. She was ill with intestinal
flu. . .Rev. Bob Kalb of Wills
point, Tex. is hospitalized with flu
and asthma complications. He is
the husband of Zelma Waldo and
son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. B. W.
Waldo. . , .
DELOIT—Earl Schindler injured
his back recently. He was hospit
alized at the Antelope Memorial
hospital for a time. Friends and
neighbors have been helping him
with his work.
NAPER—Mrs. Gust Wetzler fell
at her farm home on Thursday
morning, breaking her leg above
the knee. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eng
elhart were called and they came
to help get her to the Burke
hospital, where she remained till
Friday when she was taken by the
ambulance to the Sioux Valley hos
pital in Sioux Falls, S. D. where
she had an operation on Saturday.
Mr. Wetzler and Mrs. Dick Porter
are both in Sioux Falls to be near
her. Mi's. Weltzler is in room 240.
Karen Berg, daughter of Mrs Mary
Berg was taken to the Burke hos
pital’on Saturday where she is a
patient.
