Ob'.__ L&M Harold Weier Married To Columbus Girl; To Reside in Seattle Miss Lea Markhofer, daughter of Mrs. Amelia Markhofer, Omaha, and Hamid Weier. son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E Weier were mar ried February 27 at the St. Hona venture Catholic church in Colum bus. Rev. Timothy Healy officiated the double ring 10 a.m. ceremony lie fore an altar decorated with baskets of white gladioli and huckleberry. Louis Ramhour was at the organ with Virgil Hughes as soloist. Escorted to the altar by her uncle, Ur. Edwin Triba, Omaha, the bride appeared in a gown of crystal taffeta featuring a long tor so, scallojied liasque bodice with an empire yoke and long fitted sleeves of msepoint lace. Sequin and pearl flower appliques outlined the neckline and the floor length bouffant skirt was gathered at the sides and hack, ending in a sweep mg cnapei tram Her elbow length veil of French illusion was held by a Swedish crown of pearls. She carried a purple throated white Cattleya or chid in a cascade of white featered carnations. Her cultured pearl pen dant und earrings were a gift from the bridegroom. Miss Shirley Miller was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen Weier, sister of the bride groom, and Marilyn Triha, Osceola, the bride’s cousin. They wore street length gowns of powder blue lace over taffeta with fitted midrifs and elbow length puffed sleeves. Matching blue horsehair hats with veils and iHHjquets of cresent marguerite daisies completed their outfits. Rest man was Richard Graham. Alma, and groomsman were T 1.,'ingan and Bruce Weier, Wayne James Schmitz, Omaha and Rich ard Triha. Osceola, were usherst. The bride’s mother wore a royal blue lace dress with matching ac essories while the bridegroom’s mother chose a navy blue silk suit j with light blue accessories. A dinner for the bridal party and immediate families was served fol lowing the ceremony. The bride’s table was centered with white gladioli and blue marquerite dai sies. A reception was held from 2 to 4 p m., with Mr and Mrs. F. S. Rednar of Salina, Kan., host and hostess. The three-tier wedding cake, de corated with a miniature bridal couple, was cut by Mrs. Richard Green, Council Bluffs, la., ^ the bride's sister. Miss Valeria Triba poured and Miss Patricia Curry, Sioux City served lunch. At the guest book was Miss Norma Kretz find attending the gift table were the Misses Paulette Ahl and Joann Mokovicka, Omaha. The bride chose a mutual green tweed suit with brown and l>oige accessories and a corsage from her bouquet for her going away. The couple planned u wedding trip to Denver. Colo. The bride is a graduate of St. Ronaventure high school and has been employed as a stenographer in Omaha. , , The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, attended Wayne State Teacher’s College and completed two years of Army ser vice in Germany. He is a recent graduate of the Radio Engineering Institute of Omaha. The couple will live in Seattle, Wash., where Weier will be a senior electronic technician for the Boeing Aircraft Research and Develop ment Center. Former Ewing Girl Married in Van Nuys Miss Irene Kaczor, Van Nuys Calif., daughter of Mrs. Eva Kac yor Ewing was married to Ray mond Downs of Van Nuys Febru arv 13 at St. Elizabeth Catholic church in Van Nuys.
