Miss Patricia Mullen, (laughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mullen, Kmmet, became the bride of John Wallen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wallen, sr., Saturday In a 10 a.m. ceremony at Epiphany Catholic church in Emmet. The couple will live In O’Neill. Mullen-Wallen Vows Exchanged Saturday In Emmet Ceremony Epiphany Catholic church at Emmet was the scene of the wedd ing of Miss Patricia Mullen and John Wallen, Jr,, on Saturday, Jan. 10 Rev. Kenneth Karl of Leigh of ficiated at the 10 a m. ceremony. Tim Mullen and Dennis Richards were acolytes. Mrs. Ronald Reed played the wedding march ami accompanied Douglas Spittlcr who “Mother Beloved," “Ave Maria" and "On This Day." Arrangements of mums decorated the altar. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mullen of Em met and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Wallen, Sr. The bride, escorted to the altar by tier father, appeared in a wait/ length gown of silk organza and re-embroidered alencon lace fas hioned along princess lines. The bodice featured a scalloped pea scoop neckline and long sleeves tapering to Widal points at the wrists. The full skirt of silk or ganza was styled with deep V in sertions of lace with a large bow and streamers at the ack. Her shoulder length veil of lace trim med silk illusion was held by a demi-cap of lace. Seed pearls and sequins trimmed the seallaped edge. She carried a bouquet of white feathered carnations and lily of the valley centered with a white orchid. Marty Mullen of Emmet was bridesmaid for his sister. She wore a lue waltz length gown of lace over satin and net. Charles Fox was best man and ushers were Ned Mullen of Norfolk and Ronnie Richards of Emmet. The bridegroom and his attendant were attired in navy suits with white carnation boutonniers. The bride’s mother wore a green wool persey dress with town aces sones and the bridegroom's mother wore a beige with matching acces sories Both wore corsages ^ white carnations centered with a red rose. The bridal party and immediate families were entertained at a breakfast in O'Neill y the bride s parents. A reception was held at St. Michael’s hall in Emmet for 100 guests. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. A1 llav ranek Miss Vonda Thomas poured. Mrs. John Lee Farrier and Ms> Ray iampman took charge of the gifts and Mrs. Wayne Mattem re gistered the guests Servers were Misses Mary and Madeline Rieh ards. For traveling the bride wore a brown plaid walking suit with matching accessories Her corsage was the white orchid from the wed ding ouquet. Mrs. Wallen is employed y Con sumers Public Power District and Mr. Wallen is associated with the Ewing Co-op creamery. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harper hos ted the Tuesday all-day meeting of the Page Extension club with hus bands as guests. Following the covered dish dinner the men attend ed the township election at the I. O. O. F. Hall. The ladies filled out their year txxiks and visited. Mrs. Dan Troshynski, president, presid ed over the business meeting. A donation was made to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund. Last Monday night supper guests of Mrs. Hester Ednunsten were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Harvey and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lamason. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Summers took their daughter, Miss Joyce to Lincoln last Friday, where they w ere overnight guests in the home ot another daughter, Miss Thelma Summers. They were interested in pre-entrance interviews at the several Lincoln hospitals. Joyce expressed a preference for the Lincoln General. They returned to Page Sunday. The annual meeting of the Page Co-Operative Bank was held Mon day afternoon at the bank. Officers ! elected were Kenneth Heiss, presi dent; Robert Nissen, vice-presi dent; and Eva Lamason, secret-. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Summers and baby left Tuesday for Lawrence, j Kan., where they attended funeral services for her mother, Mrs. Marvin Buell, 64. who died Sunday evening from a 110014 attack. Mrs. Merwyn French entertained the 1959 and the 1960 officers of the Alumnae association last Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of mak ing advance preparation for the I960 banquet. Last year's officers were Mrs. French, president; Miss Lura Grass, vice-president and Mrs. Carl Max, secretary and treasurer with Mesdames Kenneth Asher, Harold Kelly and Miss Hel lice Stevens, helpers. The Page Improvement club sponsered a benefit card party 1 Thursday evening at the IOOF hall. Jerome Allen won high at bridge and Mrs. Melvin Smith won low, Harold Freemeyer took high honors at pinochle and Dick Trowbridge took low. Score winners at pitch were Melvin Smith and Nevin Ickes.
