Roirner County Judge SEAL' 3lMQe Observation School Set At Methodist Church The First Methodist church will Ik* thi scene Friday and Saturday of a Sunday school observation school for churches of the O'Neill Methodist sub-district. The sessions will be Friday at 1:30 and Satur day at 9 a m. and 1:30 p.m. The school will he conducted by a group from the Methodist interboard Council. The instructors will actually teach Sunday school classes during the observation school to demonstrate techniques of teaching. Classes will lx* conducted for kindergarten, nursery, primary junior, junior higli and administra tor groups. The observation school is for the benefit of Sunday school teachers, youth counselors, sufk*i intendents, and any other interest ed persons are welcome. Red Camp Thrills Group With Jazz Members of the O'Neill Concert association were treated to an un usual performance Sunday night at the high school auditorium when lied Camp, jazz pianist, played for the second of the three concerts held in O'Neill this season. Camp gave a concert of con trasts in ragtime and impression istic jazz in melodies familiar to all. The program was divided into four parts. Camp opened the eon cert with numbers exemplifying early barrelhouse jazz, rag and jazz. The second paid of the pro gram was devotes! to the blues in slow, medium, fast and very fast tempos. Dixieland jazz comprised the third part of the concert and Camp ended the concert with “Jazz Here and Now”, a group of tunes that have lived through the years. The piano perfectionist played two encores — Stardust and St. Louis Blues. The final O'Neill concert will be given April 13 and will feature Zvi Zeitlin. a violinist. Smith Funeral services were conduct ed Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church for Mi’s. August Smith. Rev. Glenn Kennicott of ficiated and burial was in Prospect Hill cemetery. Mrs. Smith died at her home in the Opportunity community at the 'age of 79. Pallbearers were George Calkins, Harvey Krugman, Paul Zakrzewski, Lloyd Whaley, Walter Young and Melvin Ruzicka. Rebekah B. Brady was bom June 16, 1880, at Alma, Wise., the daughter of Alice Holland and Mi chael Brady. She was married in June, 1904, to August Smith at Eau Claire, Wise. They have been longtime resi dents of the Opportunity area. One son was born to the couple, Leslie, of Ainsworth. Survivors include Mr. Smith, a son. Leslie; and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Jackson, Los Angeles, Calif., Miss Della Brady and Mrs. Jose phine Schrempp. Omaha, and Mrs. Grace Berger, O’Neill.
