Writes from Lynch
(Editor’s note: This is a letter
romivpH from one of the Fron
tier's many correspondents, Mrs.
Harold Osborn. She did not re
quest that we print the letter but
we are doing so in an attempt to
help her secure more and more
newsy news.)
“Happy New Year to all the
Frontier readers. I’m sorry to be
late with my greeting, but the flu
bug bit your correspondent and
she was down for several days.
Hope that all you good readers that
have written to me and compli
mented me on trying to keep you
up with the news in this commun
ity will enjoy the news more for
not having had any last week.
You know it is hard for any
correspondent to get news together
unless you can have the whole
hearted support of the patrons
who make up the community. I
know some don't even pause long
enough in their occupations to
even think of those that have lived
here, and still love to hear from
the home community — it means
a lot to those away from the home
community to know what is go
ing on, where you’ve spent the
a
holidays or weekends, the prtv
grams, church activities, clubs |
Now if we would all just make i
<nd so on
a resolution to try to put a ray of
sunshine in someones life, by pass
ing on a little news, we also might i
find it will add a little learn of I
sunlight to our own lives.
Thanking you.
A happy New Year to all
the Frontier staff
Sincerely.

Dorsey News
By Mrs. Harold Osborn
This community was hit by a
blinding snowstorm on Thursday.
Some snow had fallen before this.
The wind accompanied this snow
fall to such a degree that it was
nearly zero visibility at times. The
wind kept getting stronger from
the middle of the afternoon until
evening and it kept up all night
and brought us a New Year's day
with drifts that caused trouble to
most of the farmers in their live
stock feeding operations. New
Year was spent at home by most
in the community, some of the
patrons had to seek refuge at
neighbors for the night on New
Year’s eve due to poor visibUty,
which they encountered when re
turning from New Year's celebra
tions.
The mailman could not make
his route and no doubt will not be
able to until the roads are opened
by the snow plows.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brady Sr.,
spent Christmas eve and Christ
mas day at the Lee Brady Jr.,
home in O'Neill. They all enjoyed
| having Grandma Bare and their

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brady Sr.,
were business callers Wednesday,
Dee. 30 in O'Neill.
Miss Beverly Carson started for

land.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ruzicka
and family visited at the Otto Ru
zicka home Wednesday evening,
Dec. 30.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ruzicka and

here Christmas day.
Rodrick Hughes of Milford spent

home, the R. L. Hughes.
Mr. and Mrs. John Deriekson
spent Christmas day at the Les
ter Deriekson home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Millard and

Syt. and Mrs. Vernon Oleson
and Neil drove to Springfield, S.
D., to spend the day with Oleson
relatives there. Some of the Ole
sons were unable to atttend, but
there were 33 present for the
