Knudsen and Tom Goodart.
Friday afternoon, November 13,
Miss Sundra Edwards of Kolhapur,
India spoke at the school. All high
chool and grade school students
were dismissed from classes to
hear her talk. Miss Edwards has
for 12 years been principal of a
girl’s secondary school in her
native city. She has studied in
the United* States, has a master’s
degree and is working tow’ards a
doctorate at Syracuse University.
Miss Edwards is one of the ten
outstanding Christians from other
land who are leaders of a two
month Methodist "Mission to
America." On her return to India
she plans to go into full-time
Christian missionary work. Her
talk at the school on India’s his
tory, geography and present day
status was enthusiastically re
ceived by the students. After her
talk Miss Edwards participated in
a question-answer period with the
i students. __

Grade school supervised physical
education for the 5th, 6th 7th and
8th grade boys were recently be
gun at the Page school. The classes
mainly in the fundamentals of
basketball, are held from 1 to 1:30
p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday
afternoons. Two members of tile
junior class, Denny Ickos and Fred
Cronk, serve as the supervisors.
The elementary teachers ami
pupils of the Page school have
begun practice on the Christmas
operatta. Time and date to be an
nounced later. .
Teacher's meeting met on Fri
day, Nov. 7th from 3:45 to 5:00
p m. Among things discussed were
the upper elementary and High
school intelligence testing pro
gram to lie carried on in the near
future and preliminary planning
for an open house to be held in
early spring. Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Goodart served refreshments.
