be held Wednesday evening

17:30. The service will include J

The Foreign Mission Study class
which was postponed from last
Friday to Friday November 20th,
plans to meet at Clearwater. This
mission study is sponsored by the
Women's Society of Christian Ser
vice.
''The Way in Africa” and "Afri
ca Disturbed” are the two text
books being used. There also will
be film strips to follow these les
sons.
Mr. and Mrs. G D. Ryan and
family spent the weekend at Nio
brara with relatives on Saturday,
the Ryans took her mother to
Omaha where she entered a hospi
tal for treatment.

The American Legion Auxiliary
of Sanders Pod No. 214 held their
regular meeting Thursday even
ing in spite of the zero tempera
tures and the snow storm which
began earlier in the day. Six
members were present and one
guest, Mrs. Mabel Boies.
Mrs. R. H Shain, president con
ducted the business session. Mrs.
Eula Eppenbach secretary re
ported on membership. The group
will make four tarlatan dolls
which will be sent to theVeterans
hospital at Lincoln. A box of do
nated gifts were also sent with
the gift assignment of four pairs
of mittens and three aprons.
A Christmas party was planned
for members at the December
meeting. Refreshment hostesses
were Mrs Earl Van Ostrand and
Mrs. Clarence Hahlbeck.
Miss Helen Darlene Jacobsen,
who has spent the summer on the
west coast, was a guest at the
home of Mrs. Edna Lofquest on
Monday. She stopped in Ewing to
spend a few' days with relatives
and friends before going to her
home at Intercession City Fla.
Word has been received in
Ewing that the condition of Perry
Saiser, who is a patient at a
Lincoln hospital, remains about the
same.
Aubrey Wood left early Monday
! for Lincoln where he will spend
the week. He is employed by the
