Angel food, sponge or pound <
slices
6 pear h -Ives, tinted green
Tara’ch no cherries.
Combine su* a-, cornstarch,
dt in saucepan. Stir in Vt c
egg nog to make a smooth paste
Stir in remaining egg nog Cook
over medium heat until smooth
and thickened, stirring constantly
Remove from heat. Beat a small
amount of egg nog mixture into
■gg. Add to remaining mixture
and cook over low heat for 3
nnutes, stirring constantly. Add
butter and 1cman juice, stir until
well mixed. Chill thoroughly.
Toast cake slices quickly under
'eroder. Cut slices in half diagan
illy and arrange on dessert plates.'
Place a pear half on each. Spoon
egg nog sauce over pear. Garnish
witii marachino cherries.
