Club Notes Lithrma ladies Aid Lutheran Ladies Aid met Oct. j 8 with 18 members and a guest, j Mrs. Alvin Hesse, present. The members continued plans for their November 4 smorgasbord and aL so decided to buy more tables and chairs for the church base ment. The lesson was given by Mrs. A. S Gedwillo Delta Dck Mrs. Frank Froelich was host ess October 7 to Delta Dek. Guests were Mrs. Ira Moss and Mrs. Mabel McKenna. Winners were Mrs. C. J. Gatz ami Mrs. Froelich. This Wednes day's meeting was with Mrs. Ed Gallagher. Supper Club Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pctsche en tertained members of supper club in their home Sunday evening fol lowing dinner in O’Neill. Winners were Mrs Petsche and Dr. Bob Waters. O'Neill Women’s Club Members of O'Neill Women's Club met Tuesday night in the Methodist church parlors for their mum show. Mrs. Esther Harris was hostess. Following the business meeting conducted by Mrs. Howard Man son. mum arrangements by mem bers were judged by Mrs. Helen Sullivan. Arrangements winning prizes were those by Mrs. Harri son Bridge, Mrs. Howard Manson and Mrs. Joe Tennis. Slides on mums and mum ar rangements were shown. A lunch was served at the close of the meeting. The committee mem bers were Mrs. Harrison Bridge, Mrs. Heed Herley and Mrs. Wayne Roelle. Bridge Club Mrs. Richard Nelson was host ess Tuesday evening to Bridge Club. Miss LeVeta Lehn was a guest. Winners were Winnie Bar ger and Miss Lehn. Tlie next meeting will lie with Mrs. Vem Reynoldson in two weeks. WSl'M Fifteen members of WSCS met last Thursday at the Methodist church. Mrs. Ruby Wayman led the worship service and Mrs. Ben Wayman presented the lesson on "United Nations". A missionary minute was read by Mrs. Robert Embree and the social relation minute by Mrs. Ben Wayman. The next meeting will ti joint meeting with Wesleyan Service Guild Monday night. Merrtmyx Mrs. Tt'd McElhaney was host ess Tuesday afternoon to Merri myx. Guests were Mrs. Edna Yantzi. her sister, Mrs. Ruth Byers, Omaha, and Mrs. Arlo Hiatt. Winners were Mrs. Yantzi and Mrs. J. I). Osenbaugh. Next meet ing will be in two weeks with Mrs. H. S. Moses. Sub canals anu laterals would be supplied at Reclamation bu reau cost to the site of the farms in north Holt county in the dist rict. Further ditching (on the land of the farmer' would have to he financed by the farmer himself and any other improvement nec essary to keep the major share of his farm under the ditch irri gation. A local group of farmers ! would administer the district I and watch over the mainten- I ance and operating costs. A fee of from $6 to $11 per nor*' per year would be the cost to the farmer depending upon how well adapted his land la for ir rigation.
