Tasler-Schaaf Vows Exchanged in Atkinson The marriage vows of Darlene Tasler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Tasler, and Donald P. Schaaf, son of Mr.. Rose Schaaf, both of Atkinson, were solemnized at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cath olic church Sept. 7. Rev. Richard Parr officiated at the double ring ceremony and nuptial mass liefore an altar de corated with gladioli. Miss Leona Kilmurry, Atkinson, accompanied the church choir who sang, “Ave Maria," Panis Angelicus," “On This Day, Oh Beautiful Mother,” and “Oh, Bread of Heaven." Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a gown of white chiffon taffeta. The mold ed bodice was accented by a portrait neckline and long pointed sleeves. Soft folds of taffeta high lighted the bouffant floor-length skirt which extenued int i a cha pel train. Her fingertip silk illusion veil was held by a small jeweled crown. She carried a white or chid on a prayer book with a ro sary, a gift of the bridegroom. Matron of honor for her sistei was Mrs. James Boettcher, At kinson. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Alvin Krysl, Mi ;.s ;,I;cl,.-y Gilbu and Mrs. Paul Wewel. They wore desert coral, ballerina length gowns of silk organza fashioned with draped necklines, cap sleeves and bouffant skirts. Their head pieces were halos of coral net and , their bouquets of white pompom mums. Flower girl was Miss Sheryl Schaaf ami ring bearer was Rod ney Boettcher. Mrs. Leo Monahan cut the wedding cake and Mrs. Frank lin Schaaf cut the groom's cake and Mrs. Barbara Mlinar served. Mrs. Mike Pospichal poured cof fee and punch was served by Mrs. Dewayne Tasler. In charge of the guest book was Mrs. Dean Prewitt. On their return from the wed ding trip tho couple will be at home on a farm five miles south east of Atkinson. Mrs. Schaaf was graduated from Atkinson high school and has !>een employed as a bookkeeper by the First National Bank of Atkinson. Mr. Schaaf is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school and is en gaged in farming. Judy Schaaf Becomes Bride of James Engler Miss Judith La Rue Schaaf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schaaf, Atkinson, became the bri de of James Engler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Engler, Atkinson, Sept. 12 at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Atkinson. Rev. Robert Morrocco celebrat ed the nuptial high mass and of ficiated at the 9 a.m. double ring ceremony. Miss Leona Kilmurry accom panied soloist James Hendricks, Hastings. The bride appeared in a full floor-length gowm of silk embroid ered net over satin, featuring a ruffled back skirt panel. Her fit ted bodice was graced with a round neckline and V back. The long sleeves tapered to bridal points. A satin embroidered cap, accent ed with seed pearls, held her il lusion veil. She carried an ar rangement of pink sweetheart roses on a white prayerbook. Maid of honor was Delores En gler. sister of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Miss Connie Hitchcock and Mary Ann Siebert. All wore princess style waltz length gowns of surf blue crystal ette with sweetheart necklines. Each carried a bouquet of white pompons fashioned into double rings. It. Ehlers of Blair, Ne braska. Miss Lindbcrg has been a stu dent ai Nebraska Wesleyan Uni versity, Lincoln, the past two ye" rs where she was affiliated with Phi Mu Sorority and at present Is teaching in the Strom sberg, Nebraska school system. A missionary film wa shown in the afternoon, followed by a ball game and basket sup per at Ta-Ha-Zouka park. Attending from the Ewing church were Rev. Mrs. Bessie Kline, Mrs. Alta Meyers and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Norwood. Rev. C. S. Fisher, Nazarene pas tor at Lincoln, was the guest spea ker for the evening service. Dr. William H. Ross will have charge of the worship hour at the Jnited Presbyterian church at Stu art on Sunday, Sept. 20, while the pastor there. Rev. Herltert Young will deliver the sermon at the Ew ing church.
