Beatrice Cooke, director of the company's Clue ago test kitchens developed the pastry recipe for those who like the contrast salty nuts give to ice creams and sher bets. Triple Fruit I’wt Tartu (Eight Servings) 2 cups sifted flour 1/3 cup butter 1/3 cup shortening 2/3 cup finely chopped salted peanuts 5 to 6 tablespoons cold water 2 pints Triple Fruit Sherbet Cut shortenings into flour with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
