Wednesday evening, July 29, the Eddy Walters family of Chambers visited at the John Napier home. The* second Catholic church constructed in O’Neill in 1884, was plagued with misfortune. Before completion a windstorm damaged it severely and then again a year later. Just 50 years ago the cor nerstone for the present structure was layed. Chambers News Receives Fracture In Fall From Horse Ricky Rowse, 9 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Zane Rowse, re ceived a compound fracture of the leg Monday when thrown from a horse at his home north of town. He was taken to Sioux City where surgery was performed Tuesday morning. Mr and Mrs. George DeKay of West Lafayette, Ind., came Saturday for a week s v isit with her mother, Mrs. Charles Spann. Mr and Mrs. Dick Read left Saturday to spend a two weeks vacation in Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. W H. Crawford and family visited his brother in-law and sister at Bloomfield Sunday. On Monday they drove to Sioux City and returned Monday evening Mrs. Wesley Howe and children of Fremont spent last week with her parents. Mr. and Mi's. Henry Wood and her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Lar son and family. Mr. Howe came Sunday to take them home.
